Subject: 7 Seas Cruise News - May16, 2005

Greetings, Cruise Fans,

Welcome to the May 15 edition of 7 Seas Cruise News.
Tonight, Pat invites you to join us for a great
group cruise! Step right up and sign on for 7
delightful days aboard the Carnival Victory,
sailing October 30 from Miami! Celebrate Halloween
on board and visit St. Maarten, St. Thomas (St.
John) and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Victory is a
beauty and so many of Pat's clients rate this as
the very best of the Carnival fleet, based on the
friendly crew, spacious cabins and excellent food.
And hurricane season will be over! (Something worth
celebrating here in Florida!) Here's the very best
part. You can reserve an ocean-view cabin for as
little as $680 per person or a category 8A balcony
for as little as $730 per person, double occupancy.
And that price will automatically include a one
category upgrade. And every cabin that's part of
the group will include a $25 shipboard credit!  We
think you'll find this is a great deal! Hang out
with us or do your own thing, it's all up to you!
For complete details including what all your low
price includes, call Pat at 1-866-424-1090 or drop
him an email at cruiseplanners7seascruises@msn.com
Come on, we'll have a great time!

And now, some cruise news??¦ Visitors who take
advantage of Princess' exclusive cruisetours to the
Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge will not
only find themselves reposing in America's largest
national park (Wrangell-St. Elias) with nine of the
16 highest U.S. peaks as a scenery backdrop, they
also have the opportunity to visit historic
Kennicott, the copper-mining boomtown of the early
1900's. Kennicott still stands exactly as it was
the day the last resident left it...cups and plates
left on tables, beds half made, shops half stocked
and more. How cool is that!  Princess announced its
exclusive "Direct to the Wilderness" rail service
to help visitors swap transportation time for
exploration time. Princess passengers board rail
cars the moment they step off the dock in Whittier,
and are taken directly to either the Denali
Princess Wilderness Lodge or the Mt. McKinley
Princess Wilderness Lodge. This direct-rail service
enables visitors to enjoy two nights at the park
area in the time it used to take for one night.

A new shore excursion in Ketchikan, Rainforest
Ropes & Zip Line Challenge is an athletic obstacle
course in the southeast Alaska rainforest that has
participants strapped into a harness as they first
ascend to dizzying heights and later zoom down a
175 foot zip line. Along the way, they'll face
single rope suspension bridges, traverse over
swinging logs, swing across treetops by rope, repel
50 feet down an old cedar tree, and more. Friends
and relatives who've done this zip lines say they
are the best!

In addition to being the only cruise line to visit
Glacier Bay National Park on every Gulf of Alaska
cruise, Princess also offers passengers the
opportunity to double their icy pleasure with its "
Voyage of the Glaciers" cruise. This dramatic
itinerary provides distinctly different glacial
experiences, from the icy wilderness of Glacier Bay
(home to some of the world's most active glaciers),
to the unexpected vertical rivers of ice at College
Fjord (which boasts the world's largest collection
of tidewater glaciers).

Princess passengers are pampered with Signature
Alaskan Cuisine throughout their cruise, and the
delicately spiced smoked salmon reigns supreme each
day. In addition to the Chef's Alaskan Dinner (
which employs regional specialties from king crab
legs, fresh halibut and venison, to native berries
and wild mushrooms), passengers are treated to an
On Deck Fish Barbeque, and a special presentation
of a Reindeer Chili and Rockfish Chowder Cook-Off.

You can treat yourself to the Glacier Bay Champagne
Balcony Breakfast , which includes epicurean
delights such as smoked Copper River salmon,
Alaskan Crab Quiche, and a full bottle of champagne
for two...all served amidst the dramatic glacial
scenery from the comfort of the cabin's private
balcony. Now, that's a breakfast!

Passengers can spice up their trip with the
Klondike Summit & Liarsville Experience , a
Princess shore excursion in Skagway. Gold fever is
contagious in this area, and those who catch it can
pan for their own fortune in the Liarsville gold
fields. The remainder of the afternoon can be spent
exploring the faithfully recreated "town" at the
Liarsville Gold Panning Camp, where passengers can
add a little spice to their photo albums by posing
for a portrait with the camp's costumed dance hall
girls of 1898.

Holland America Line is launching a new culinary
program on select sailings that will feature
demonstrations and seminars by top chefs, wine
experts and cookbook authors provided by Food &
Wine magazine. The sailings start this fall and are
part of Holland America's broader Culinary Arts
Center program, offered on every departure. All
programs take place in a theater-style show kitchen
with large plasma video screens. These Culinary
Arts Centers are on half of the line's 13 ships and
will be in place fleetwide by mid-2006. Chefs
already booked in the Food & Wine partnership
include Michelle Bernstein, who just opened MB
restaurant at Grand Aqua in Cancun and co-hosts The
Food Network's 'Melting Pot.' She will be aboard
Statendam's Sept. 9 Alaska cruise. Food & Wine also
will provide recipe cards and wine tasting notes
for passengers. Other opportunities might include
book signings, question and answer sessions, market
tours in ports of call and special on-board menus.

The big changes in longer cruises for next year
will not be found, as is the norm, on luxury ships
doing world cruises for North American passengers.
That's mainly because it'll be the same three ships
in 2006 that were handling world cruise duties this
year: Crystal Serenity, Seven Seas Voyager, and QE2.
But make no mistake about it, there are plenty of
changes afoot,  including the return by cruise
lines to more politically sensitive spots of the
world. While Iraq and Iran aren't on anyone's list
of port calls in 2006, the luxury lines are calling
in places that have been off most agendas in recent
years, including Libya, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan.
Some may say it's risky, but itineraries can be
changed, of course, at any sign of trouble. Several
ships will be going through the Suez Canal and can
reach ports in the Middle East, Arabian Gulf, and
Indian Ocean. In addition Crystal, has a new fall
itinerary to Egypt and Tripoli. Meanwhile, going to
and from Europe, Seabourn Spirit transits the Suez,
with exotic itineraries calling in Egypt and Aqaba (
the port for the ancient site of Petra). Silversea'
s Silver Cloud transits the Suez Canal and explores
the Arabian Peninsula on the way to spending the
winter in Australia. Her calls include Tartous,
Syria, and no less than three spots in  Libya:
Tripoli, Tobruk, and Derna. RSSC will also be
calling in Libya. Exotic and fascinating as these
itineraries sound, they aren't for everyone.
Average age of passengers on board these voyages
will be about 80 - serious cruisers who have been
everywhere else and can afford what will be some of
the most expensive trips anywhere!  Let's all hope
we are all healthy and wealthy enough to sail the
world on Crystal when we're in our 80s and up!

Following strong consumer response to its first-
ever Mediterranean cruises set to debut aboard the
new Carnival Liberty this summer, Carnival Cruise
Lines has announced that the vessel will return for
a second time for a full season of Med cruises
beginning in May 2006. The 110,000-ton SuperLiner,
which is currently under construction in Monfalcone,
Italy, will operate a series of 15 12-day Grand
Mediterranean  cruises round-trip from Rome (
Civitavecchia) May 7 - Oct. 22, 2006.  The
itinerary includes extended port calls in seven
magnificent locations: Naples, Italy; Dubrovnik,
Croatia; Venice, Italy (two-day call); Messina,
Sicily; Barcelona, Spain; Cannes, France; and
Livorno, Italy. Exciting Mediterranean itineraries
feature some of the most charming and historic
cities throughout Italy, Spain, France and Croatia,
and offer opportunities for guests to tour the
region's most popular destinations, including Capri,
Taormina, Monte Carlo, Florence and Pisa, just to
name a few.  More than 80 different shore
excursions, including guided museum tours and day-
long trips to centuries-old cities and landmarks,
will also be offered. The two-day call in Venice is
particularly noteworthy, providing guests an
opportunity to dine in the city's many outstanding
restaurants, view stunning architecture, and tour
magnificent museums, cathedrals and other landmarks.

That's it for this week. If you'd like a great
price on the Victory with us or on any cruise to
any destination, call Pat. He'll give you a
fantastic price! I promise.

Until next week, smooth sailing and bright blue
skies!

Teri
