Greetings, Cruise Fans, Welcome to the June 25 edition of the 7 Seas Cruise News, brought to you by Pat Crane, your favorite cruise discounter and my favorite husband! If you're thinking about a cruise yet this year, Pat has some excellent prices on Costa- especially if you can go in December. Wow! What a holiday gift-and you don't have to figure out what size or even gift wrap it. These are excellent prices on Costa's two newest ships. If you haven't tried Costa, it's a treat. Warm- hearted Italian service, great Continental cuisine (with the accent on excellent Italian, of course), tasteful European designed ship interiors, and a spirit of fun that embraces everyone aboard. Where else will you find a toga party and everyone dressing up in bed sheets, from infants to grannies? These are excellent prices and you can choose six or seven night itineraries to the eastern or western Caribbean with some unusual ports of call, like the Dominican Republic, Belize and Roatan, Honduras, home of that fabulous Port Royal beer. Call Pat for details, but hurry. Special pricing and upgrades are only offered through June 30. You can reach Pat almost anytime at 1-866-424-1090 toll-free. Come browse on our new website. It's easier than ever to find your dream cruise at www. 7seascruises.com. One question Pat often gets is "what about those pesky hurricanes?" Good question! Some of you may recall that Pat and I got stuck on a Royal Caribbean cruise for an extra two nights in 2005. They took excellent care of us! And please remember, no cruise line is ever going to put you in harm's way-nor for that matter, are they going to jeopardize their multimillion dollar ships! But as a precaution that you won't lose a cent should your trip be interrupted, Pat offers cruise insurance. It doesn't add much to your cruise price, but it sure adds peace of mind! Ask him about it! And now, here's a bit of cruise news... For many people, the highlight of every summer is the 4th of July. But this summer, you've got even more to celebrate: the revitalization of Century. After undergoing a $55 million makeover, Century' s enhancements are sure to make your cruise experience through Europe or the Caribbean even more enjoyable. Some of her new features include the most luxurious accommodations at sea, with 314 newly-added private verandas, an expanded Concierge Class and 14 new Sky Suites. All staterooms feature enhanced amenities that include new bedding and linens, flat screen TVs and more. Century is designed to revitalize its guests. With a completely renovated and enlarged AquaSpa by Elemis, some of the features include: 10 new treatment rooms with sea views, New Persian Garden with tropical showers, Turkish steam room and Finnish saunas, a new beauty salon, and Acupuncture at Sea. From a late breakfast on your private veranda to dinner in our new specialty restaurant, Century provides a variety of dining and entertainment options sure to please everyone including the: new specialty restaurant - Murano, a delightful blend of tradition with a chic, contemporary flair with magnificent chandeliers handcrafted of Murano glass and a hand painted mural, a Sushi Bar - designed to reflect a casual Asian atmosphere with bamboo plank floors, stylish dark wood chairs and a new collection of artifacts and artwork, and the Martini Bar - featuring a liquid wall and bar counter that freezes into ice-cold stone offering a menu of more than 30 Martinis. It's common knowledge that good things often come in small packages. At Celebrity, good things also come in short duration. You don't need seven days to have a week's worth of pleasure and relaxation. Both can be found in abundance on a 4 or 5-night Celebrity cruise to the Caribbean. Enjoy the slow, relaxing pace of the islands, while having your every whim indulged by our staff. From Ocho Rios and Cozumel, to Grand Cayman and Key West, Celebrity's 4 or 5-night Caribbean cruises are the perfect way to experience a week's worth of unwinding, when you don't actually have a week to unwind. Small by today's ship standards, Century offers occupancy of 1770. The ship's other stats include tonnage: 70,606; length: 815 feet; beam: 105 feet; draught: 25; Cruisespeed of 21.5 knots; and inaugural Date: Dec 20, 1995. This is one of our favorite ships. We can't wait until fall to see how she looks all gussied up! The preview of the balcony cabins was fabulous! Cruising is oft-cited as the idyllic vacation choice for complete relaxation and escape. The lifestyle of today's consumer, however, often means that to truly relax and enjoy, people want an easy and convenient way to keep in touch with family, friends, or the office. What could be easier than using your own cell phone aboard ship the same as you can at home? Through an exclusive agreement between Carnival Cruise Lines and Wireless Maritime Services (WMS), a joint venture of Cingular Wireless and Maritime Telecommunications Network, Carnival guests sailing aboard the "Fun Ships" can now enjoy a new communications option that allows them to stay in touch with people back home using their personal cell phones while in port or at sea. Utilizing WMS' state-of-the- art high-bandwidth technology, the new fleetwide service is compatible with any cellular phone and enables guests sailing on Carnival to make and receive calls anywhere in the world from any cruising region. The technology is currently available aboard the Carnival Triumph, with the balance of the line's 21-vessel fleet scheduled to be completed by early next year. The new fleetwide cellular phone service requires no additional software or special dialing procedures - guests simply make and receive calls as well as transmit text and multimedia messages as they would on land using their personal cell phone. International roaming fees apply to all shipboard cell phone calls. In addition to being able to use their phones on Carnival "Fun Ships," Cingular customers can also enjoy competitive international roaming rates as well as a greater selection of quad-band devices than any other carrier. For additional information on pricing, please visit www.cingular.com/cingularworld or www.cellularatsea.com. Planning on getting married in 2007? Here's a way to enjoy an unforgettable event-and let someone else pay the bill! In partnership with Food Network, Celebrity Cruises is preparing to ensure that one lucky couple enjoys a wedding of " infinite" possibilities. Celebrity's Infinity has been selected to serve as the platform for " Food Network Caters Your Hawaiian Wedding," a two- hour special that will premiere during the network's " Wedding Weekend" in June 2007. Giada de Laurentiis, star of Everyday Italian, will host the entire event. Food Network on Sunday night launched its third annual contest to select the winning couple, whose all-inclusive wedding will include luxury accommodations onboard Celebrity's Infinity in Hawaii, a sumptuous rehearsal dinner in the ship's dramatic, two- level "Trellis" dining room, a designer wedding cake, a consultation with editors from Brides magazine, a beach-side ceremony, and the ultimate wedding reception with cuisine designed by Food Network stars, held in the elegant "SS United States" specialty restaurant onboard the ship. Couples interested in entering the contest for the lavish wedding should log onto www. FoodNetwork.com to download the application. The deadline for submissions is Monday, July 24, 2006. As a recent testament to Celebrity's ideal fit for "foodies," the line's cuisine and service were among the attributes leading to the brand's fourth consecutive year of sweeping the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler magazine's "Best Cruise Ships in the World" readers' poll in February 2006, with Celebrity's Infinity and sister ships ranking first through fourth. Just this month, Infinity was singled out by TravelAge West magazine for providing the "Best Overall Dining Experience on a Specific Ship." That's it for this week. Please share this newsletter with your cruise buddies. They are invited to subscribe and to give Pat a call for all their cruise quotes, too. Enjoy your last week of June! See you next weekend!
