Editor's Note

Passions' Adrian Wilson and McKenzie Westmore are both expected back on the set. Adrian, off for an undisclosed illness, will reappear September 21. McKenzie, off on maternity leave, will return in late September. A la Camryn Grimes (Cassie, Young & the Restless), fellow just axed castmate Jerry Douglas (John) and Bold & the Beautiful's Schae Harrison (Darla) will reappear from time to time as ghosts. At All My Children, for those upset by the news of Tanisha Lynn's (Danielle) departure, great news -- the young actress isn't leaving after all. There's more good news, but also bad news; read below. For General Hospital fans, Genie Francis' (Laura) return will be in October, and is expected to last six weeks at least. If ratings are good, you may see her for a while longer. Anthony Geary (Luke) will be back from his vacation around Laura's return as well.....

     INS

All My Children Eden Riegel returns as Bianca October 11. I know we've been here and done this three times already but this time Eden has been offered a contract role. Other details surrounding the return (how long? why?) are being held under lock-and-key.

As the World Turns Martha Byrne's leave is over; she returns as Lily September 29.

Guiding Light The Late Show with David Letterman's Bob Borden returns as a deliveryman August 25. Gil Rogers reprises his role of Hawk, August 24.

Young & the Restless Natalia Nogulich plays Judge Anabelle Bouliane August 28.

OUTS

All My Children In a surprising announcement, fan favorite Michael B. Jordan (Reggie, right) has been let go. Michael has not been seen since June 5. But don't look for Reggie to return for Michael's exit; there won't be one. The show is simply planning to keep Reggie off-screen and there are no recasts planned.

Bold & the Beautiful Ronn Moss is scheduled to tour Australia from August 24 to September 10. What of Ridge? The show has made no announcements.

Days of Our Lives November Sweeps are expected to swallow up Christie Clark (Carrie) and Austin Peck (Austin). We're not sure if they're out because of the budget cuts at the soap or because they don't fit with new head writer Hogan Sheffer's plans.

One Life to Live In another surprising move, fans will be stunned to learn that fan favorite Dan Gauthier (the 11th Kevin) has been let go. This is not a knock against Dan, focus groups did not have a favorable opinion of the character. (????) Dan will air through November Sweeps and an exact final airdate hasn't been released.

THIS WEEK

All My Children Things get even worse for Dixie and Zach. JR challenges Tad to do the right thing. Ryan makes a shocking confession.

As the World Turns Maddie comes face-to-face with the stalker. Meg accepts Paul's proposal. Luke attempts a daring rescue.

Bold & the Beautiful Harry surprises Nick on the Shady Marlin. Taylor has devastating news for Hector. Brooke has difficulty concealing her jealousy.

Days of Our Lives A mysterious phone call has Sami terrified. Tek sees a mysterious figure lurking in the shadows. Eve is murdered.

General Hospital Sonny gets unsettling news. Carly gets a surprise. Lulu struggles with her life-altering decision.

Guiding Light Reva and Cassie go head-to-head over Josh. Olivia unleashes her wrath on Ava. Dinah is asked to do a favor for Jeffrey.

One Life to Live Blair begs Todd to go along with the plan. Spencer's world comes crashing down. Dorian and Rex join forces.

Passions Fox jumps through hoops for Kay and Endora. Ethan slides into Theresa's bed. Luis gets physical with Spike.

Young & the Restless Gloria and Michael battle Jack and Ashley in court over John's will. Nick and Phyllis have news for Noah.

SPOTLIGHT ON...Justin Deas (Frank "Buzz" Cooper, Sr., Guiding Light)

Six-time Emmy winner Justin Deas has been portraying Frank "Buzz" Cooper since February 1993. His daytime career began as Bucky on Ryan's Hope. Due to his father's travels, Justin grew up all over the Eastern seaboard, as well as spending time in Mexico City and Teheran. He attended William and Mary College and received the bulk of his theatrical training at John Houseman's advanced class at the Juilliard School in New York City.

His wide range of Shakespearean roles include the Duke from Measure for Measure, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Brutus in Julius Caesar and the title role of Hamlet, as well as roles in A Comedy of Errors and The Tempest.
