SPOTLIGHT ON...Michael Dempsey (Alan-Michael
Spaulding, Guiding Light)
Michael joined Guiding Light in
November 2005, after appearing as Tom Joad in PBS's Grapes of Wrath, a
stint on One Life to Live and several appearances in independent films.
Michael has an extensive background in
the theatre, receiving critical acclaim for his recent role in Mr. Roberts
at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Some of his credits are Long
Day's Journey Into Night, John Brown Now and Women and
Criminals.
Michael studied history at UC Berkeley
and acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. While there,
performing in The Winter's Tale, The Matchmaker and The
Cherry Orchard.
Michael is an avid sportsman who enjoys
boxing and aikido and was a 1995 California Lacrosse All-Star at Berkeley. His
birthday is September 30.
