Editor's Note

In looking over the additions for the last few episodes and some of the upcoming ones next year, it just reaffirms the fact that in Soap Land, an exit is never permanent. There's a lot to cover, so let's dive in.

     INS

All My Children Great news! Elizabeth Hendrickson will return as Maggie for three weeks starting January 15.

Bold & the Beautiful Hal Linden (Barney Miller) will play Jerry December 19. Drew Tyler Bell returns for the holidays as Thomas December 21. Rick is also returning, but instead of Justin Torkildsen's face, you'll see the recently released Kyle Lowder (Brady, Days of Our Lives). Kyle begins January 5. You can expect Alley Mills (right)  to stay on the canvas as Pam; the actress nabbed a contract role.

Days of Our Lives Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes are back as Doug and Julie December 26. Philip is expected to return January 12. Not Kyle Brandt, but reprised by Jay Kenneth Johnson, who left the show in 2002.

One Life to Live Tuc Watkins will be back as David for February sweeps.

 

OUTS

Days of Our Lives Brody Hutzler's Patrick exits January 3. Judi Evans (Bonnie) and Rhasaan Orange (Tek) are the latest players to be let go.

General Hospital After 30 years, fan favorite Stuart Damon has been fired. Expect Alan to suffer a fatal heart attack during February sweeps.

Passions Get your fill of Michael Sabatino as JT; the actor will be done by the end of the month.

 

STAYING

Guiding Light Ricky Paull Goldin has inked a new deal to keep Gus on the canvas.

 

THIS WEEK

All My Children Tad makes a Christmas wish. Zach admits his fears to Bianca. Josh challenges Kendall to tell the truth.

As the World Turns Iris provides Jade with ammunition against Gwen. Carly sends Simon away. Meg plants a New Year's Eve kiss on Craig.

Bold & the Beautiful Nick makes a revelation about Jackie. Stephanie unexpectedly gets the goods to get the company back. 

Days of Our Lives Clay Aiken surprises Kayla with a song. Sami is forced to barter with EJ. Patrick is pushed to the limit with Hope.

General Hospital Sonny and Jason fear an old enemy is alive. Nikolas gets news about Spencer. Elizabeth has an accident.

Guiding Light Olivia gets a marriage proposal for Christmas. Ava takes control of her life. Tammy crashes the honeymoon.

One Life to Live Viki and Dorian prepare to fight for Clint. Todd worries he won't get Blair's forgiveness. John confronts Spencer.

Passions Santa gives coal to JT. A corpse crashes Whitney's wedding. Fancy and Sheridan clash.

Young & the Restless Brad confesses the truth. Devon discovers news that could implicate Dru. Katherine throws a New Year's Eve party.

 

SPOTLIGHT ON...Scott Clifton (Dillon Quartermaine, General Hospital) www.scottclifton.com

Scott has been playing Dillon on General Hospital since 2003. He knew he wanted to be an actor since age 9, after his mother gave him a copy of Hamlet. His professional acting career began when he joined the cast of MTV's Undressed. Scott has since appeared in the films Terminal Error and Arizona Summer.

During his off-time, Scott enjoys writing and recording music. He is a fan of Matchbox Twenty, Evanescence, Nickelback and Three Doors Down. Scott resides in Los Angeles.
