Editor's Note

As the World Turns has opted to recast the role of Craig Montgomery. Newcomer Jeffrey Meek has been let go and Scott Bryce will reprise his role. Scott, who played Craig from 1982 through 1994, returned to the show this week and is already taping scenes. Insiders say that Bryce was the show's first choice when execs made the decision to recast the role last year. However, with Bryce unavailable the show opted for newcomer Jeffrey Meek. Scott's last daytime role was as Dr. Crosby on One Life to Live in March 2006. Jeffrey last airs April 2; Scott's first airdate is April 10.

In other news, Alison Sweeney (Sami, Days of Our Lives) will replace Caroline Rhea as host of weight loss reality program, The Biggest Loser. NBC hopes Sweeney's fan base will help give the show a ratings boost.
