SPOTLIGHT ON...Jeffrey Carlson (Zarf/Zoe,
All My Children) www.jeffrey-carlson.com
Jeffrey joined All My Children in
December 2006 in the ground breaking role of Zarf/Zoe. With his character, AMC
made television history becoming the first daytime drama to chronicle the
coming-out of a transgender character.
Jeffrey trained at the Julliard
School, the University of California at Davis and the Guthrie Theatre. On
Broadway, he's appeared in Taboo (Marilyn), Tartuffe (Valere,
Roundabout) and in Edward Albee's The Goat or Who Is Sylvia? (Billy),
as well as in the pre-Broadway production of The Miracle Worker (James
Keller). Off-Broadway, he's starred in Lee Blessing's Thief River at
Signature Theatre, McCarter Theatre's Romeo and Juliet, Manuscript
at the Cape Cod Theatre Project and in Sodom and Gomorrah at the Eugene
O'Neill Playwrights Theatre.
Originally from Long Beach,
California; Jeffrey's mother is a big AMC fan, and named him after one
of her favorite characters, Jeff Martin.
