Editor's Note

It's normal in the industry for shows to up and down in the ratings, but this past week, no show lost ground. General Hospital, Guiding Light and Days of Our Lives saw the biggest gains, while All My Children, As the World Turns, Bold & the Beautiful and Young & the Restless (still the number one show!) all held steady.

As the World Turns Along with Alison's return, expect Agim Kaba back as Aaron June 14. Jason Pendergraft is back as porn producer Lance May 21.

Bold & the Beautiful Constantine Maroulis (American Idol 4) cameos May 15.

Guiding Light E.J. Bonilla airs as Rafe May 18. Rufus Collins will play Mallet's new boss Halstead May 15. Kirk McGee also airs May 18 as Norm.

One Life to Live Justis Bolding (right) has been cast in the role of Sarah Roberts. Farah Fath (Mimi, Days of Our Lives) has been cast as a-yet-unnamed character.

Passions Liza Huber is back from maternity leave as Gwen May 31. Endora and Maria are about to get aged, thanks to Turiya Dawn and Stephanie Cantu beginning May 22. Elizabeth Storm stars as Sister Mary Alice May 21.

 

OUTS

As the World Turns Kelley Menighan Hensley is expecting her third child in July, meaning Emily will be off the canvas for awhile. Look for that "exit" next month.

General Hospital Scott Clifton (Dillon) has decided not to renew contract; he will last air next month.

 

THIS WEEK

All My Children Greenlee bares her soul. Zach drops a bombshell on Greenlee. Krystal gets ready to do battle with Adam.

As the World Turns Maddie and Luke prepare for the prom. Carly is heartbroken by Parker's harsh words. Vienna prepares to leave Oakdale.

Bold & the Beautiful Stephanie tries to protect Ridge. Phoebe makes accusations against Ashley. Nick's trial begins.

Days of Our Lives Sami is delivered to Tony by EJ. Shawn, Belle and Philip try to escape the typhoon. Nick is wrongfully accused again.

General Hospital Jax makes an emotional appeal to Sonny. Jerry has Jason under his thumb. Skye's love is put to the test.

Guiding Light Marina arrests Cyrus, then leans on Dylan's shoulder. Remy discovers Natalia's secret.

SPOTLIGHT ON...John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex Balsom, One Life to Live)

John-Paul was raised in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania where he attended Phoenixville High School, continuing his education at nearby Philadelphia's University of the Arts. While in college, he studied music performance specializing in the drums. He studied acting at the School for Film and Television and Michael Howards Studio, as well as with private coach Deborah Mathieu-Byers.

John-Paul's role of Rex is his first major acting role. Previous experience included a small role on All My Children, he played a model on Sex in the City, in a Saturday Night Live skit, a Time Warner Cable commercial and various student films. He landed a role in the independent film One Day in May, released in the fall of 2002, and appeared in the feature film Wolves in Wall Street. John-Paul is a member of the Manhattan-based theater company Streetlight Productions, with whom he still performs.

In addition to acting and music, he enjoys sports (tennis, skiing and golf) and while in high school he developed a talent for magic.
