Lorenzo plays firefighter Hector,
single father of Caitlin and adopted son Jimmy.
Lorenzo was born in Santa Monica. At
13, he moved with his mother, actress Arlene Dahl, to New York City. He began
attending the Admiral Farragut Academy, a military school. During these four
years, he became interested in athletics, lettering in wrestling and track. He
was president of his class and 2nd in charge of a Battalion of 300 cadets. He
graduated with the intention of enrolling in the University of California to
study veterinary medicine. But that summer, he visited his father Fernando on
his film set for The Cheap Detective. Lorenzo quickly changed his mind
and pursued a career in acting by enrolling in Tony Barr's acting studio.
At 19, he won the role of Tom Chisum
in Grease. He was then cast in numerous TV roles until finally landing
on the soap Falcon Crest. Around this time, he was personally studying

skill into the character's action scenes. After 9 years with Falcon Crest,
Lorenzo starred in the action movies Snake Eater, Body Rock and CIA
Target Alexa (which he also directed).
By this time, he was a black belt.
Lorenzo met with Stephen Cannell to develop the action television series, Renegade.
For the next five years, he starred in 110 episodes, producing and
occasionally directing. Air America followed and in 1997, Lorenzo
became a certified private pilot. He later got his commercial helicopter
