Editor's Note

When Passions makes its move from broadcast to satellite television, it will be short at least three of its core cast members. One of those actors exiting the show, Adrian Bellani (Miguel) broke the news of his impending exit to fans via his official web site, "I have decided not to renew my contract with Passions." As you may recall, NBC announced that it would not pick up the soap for its ninth season. Three months later, DirecTV revealed that it had picked up the rights to the show and would begin broadcasting in September, where NBC was leaving off. It was that indecision that led to Adrian's decision to exit. "After a long wait and wondering whether or not I was even going to be asked back on the show, my team (agents and managers), and myself decided to pursue other opportunities," the actor explained. "We all believe this is the right decision to take, although it was very hard. My decision is simply a career choice, and has nothing to do with the show Passions. I believe life is full of risks, and this is just one I have to take. I am a dreamer, and I dream of having a big successful career. One of my dreams did come true...Passions."

Adrian joins James Stevenson (Jared) and Silvana Arias (Paloma) in their decisions not to make the move to a post-NBC Passions.

All My Children Eden Riegel (Bianca) will be back again -- for one day (Tuesday, August 14) when Bianca makes a phone call to Kendall.

As the World Turns Daniel Hugh Kelly will play Noah's strict father, Major Winston Mayer, July 5.

Days of Our Lives Andy Mackenzie will recur as Jeremy's Las Vegas contact, Rawlings, beginning June 28.

Guiding Light Paul Fitzgerald returns as Colin June 29.

Passions Georgia Engel (Mary Tyler Moore Show), Kim Huber and Melissa Fahn are all in on June 28. Melinda Sward will play Julian and Ivy's other daughter, Pretty, July 30. Danny Woodburn plays the demon elf that's been terrorizing Harmony since June 21.

Young & the Restless John Lafayette (Dr. Woods), Lela Lee (speech therapist), April D. Parker (doctor) and Marc D. Wilson (physical therapist) appear from June 25 through the 28. Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, Bold & the Beautiful) will make the jump from Los Angeles to Genoa City beginning July 5.

OUTS

As the World Turns Roger Howarth (Paul) will be off-canvas for a little while. Roger's contract was up earlier this year, so the writers had to be prepared in case he decided to exit. For a while it looked as though he would indeed exit, so they put their plans into motion. Fortunately, he re-signed so his "fatal" plunge will not be permanent. (Don't forget Cady McClain resumes taping as Rosanna this month...) In other news, the show and Elena Goode (Jade) have decided mutually to part ways. Look for her to exit either next month or in August.

Days of Our Lives Christopher Gerse (Will, right) left June 18 for his annual summer vacation. It looks as though this time Steve Blackwood's Bart will exit permanently.

Guiding Light Darnell Williams wrapped up his role of Griggs June 25.
