ON...Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer, General Hospital) www.tonygeary.net
As of the
2005 Emmy Awards, Anthony has won his fifth Emmy Award for Outstanding
Lead Actor in a Daytime Drama Series.
Anthony
has come a long way from Coalville, Utah, a small mountain community of
800. Tony was a gifted student, attending the University of Utah as a
Presidential Award Scholar in theater. Jack Albertson spied him in a
production and cast him in The Subject of Roses. The production
toured Hawaii before settling in Los Angeles, where Anthony decided to
establish himself. He has performed in over 50 stage productions
throughout the U.S. His one-man show, Human Scratchings in 1996
earned him a Dramalogue Award.
TV work
includes a production of Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra for
PBS and the BBC. He also has an extensive list of over 40 guest
appearances, such as Starsky & Hutch, Barnaby Jones, All
in the Family, The Partridge Family, Murder, She Wrote
and more. Anthony's feature film roles include U.H.F., It
Takes Two, Pass the Ammo, You Can't Hurry Love, Penitentiary
III, The Disorderlies, Private Investigation, Johnny
Got His Gun, Scorchers, Night of the Warrior and Carpool
Guy.
As a
producer, Anthony received a Cindy Award for the children's drama story,
Sound of Sunshine, Sound of Rain for Public Radio. He also has
taught improvisation and story-theater techniques.
In
college, Anthony competed in track and field and swimming, while racing
horses on the side. He is a certified scuba diver and an accomplished
roller blader.
