Editor's Note

Well, it seems to be one of those rare quiet weeks. The only real news-worthy item is Crystal Chappell (Olivia, Guiding Light) has signed a new one year contract. In her official statement on her website, www.crystal-chappell.com, she said, "I am so happy to be staying on Guiding Light for another year. They are my family and hopefully, Olivia will find her own light. Regardless of how some people feel about Olivia, I have always appreciated all the fans of the show."

SPOTLIGHT ON...Don Diamont (Brad Carlton, Young & the Restless)

Don joined Young & the Restless in 1984 until 1995 and returned in June 1998.

Don was the first daytime actor to be chosen as one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful. In the spring of 2000, Don was the recipient of the Australian Inside Soap Magazine Award in the category of Most Missed Actor in Daytime. On the 2000 CBS Soaps In Depth Awards, fans voted him the Sexiest Actor.

Born in New York, Don grew up in Los Angeles as the youngest of four. He excelled academically in high school and was a star athlete. While in college, he auditioned for the renowned acting coach, Nina Foch and was accepted into her scene class. Don's training led him to an agent who landed him to a role on Days of Our Lives. The magazine Daytime TV voted him Best Newcomer. His Days role ended in 1984; he then signed with Young & the Restless.

Don's feature film credits include Marco Polo with Jack Palance, A Low Down Dirty Shame and Anger Management with Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler. In tele-films, he appeared in Country Justice and the Family Channel's Loyal Opposition with Y&R co-star Corbin Bernsen.
