Thorsten joined All My Children in
May 2004 as wealthy casino owner, Zach Slater. In 2000, he was appearing on Port
Charles as Irish doctor Ian Thornhart. Perhaps, though he is best
remembered as poet Patrick Thornhart from One Life to Live (1995-1997).
Other TV work includes Sliders,
Law & Order, Nothing Lasts Forever and Air America.
On London stages, Thorsten's starred
in Winter's Tale, Love for Love and Tartuffe. As a
seasoned Shakespeare actor, he's starred in Macbeth, Much Ado About
Nothing, Hamlet, Love's Labor's Lost, Twelfth Night and The
Taming of the Shrew.
On the big screen, see if you can
spot Thorsten in Prophet's Game, Shark Attack II, The
Silencers, Deadly Desire and The Bone Collector.
An avid rugby player, Thorsten played
throughout Europe before enrolling in Wayne State University. After earning
his master's in theater and theater history, he joined the Hilberry Repertory
Theatre Company in Detroit.
He has published a book of original
poetry, From Timber Ridge to Daymer Gardens, with Dorothy Bridges,
widow of actor Lloyd Bridges. Proceeds from the book and the accompanying CD
of the same name, go to Give Kids the World, a charity for sick
children.
