Drake Hogestyn will be soon returning to Days of Our Lives -- but not as John. Word is he'll debut as a brand-new character. No details have been released -- yet.

Fan favorite John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex, One Life to Live) had a scare while running in the 26.2-mile New York Marathon. At about 20 miles, he started to feel like, "I don't want to do this anymore." At 25 miles, his right leg completely stiffened up to the point where it wouldn't move. 150 yards away from the finish line, both of his legs were completely stiff and he couldn't get either foot off the ground. He did eventually cross the finish line at 3:35 and he's doing fine.

When the current writers' strike is over, it's possible that Young & the Restless' Lynn Marie Latham won't be head writer any longer, according to the latest rumors. Lynn Marie won the title in February 2006. 

All My Children Eden Riegel will be back as Bianca December 26 and 27.

Days of Our Lives Christina Stacy assumes the role of Cordy from Jamie Chung November 21. Jaime is off to pursue a primetime pilot.

Passions Eva Tamargo's (Pilar) real-life daughter Gabriela Lemus appears as a young Pilar November 21.

E.J. joined Guiding Light in May 2007 as "Rafe."

GL is E.J.'s daytime debut. Recently he appeared in the Golden Globe-nominated film The Ron Clark Story and guest-starred on Law & Order Criminal Intent and has done voice-over for a Burger King ad.

E.J. was born and raised in New York City and is currently attending Bard College. he enjoys dancing and celebrates his birthday on September 8.
