the permanent demise of Passions quickly approaching, Andrea
Evans is returning after 18 years as Tina Lord. Her first airdate
is yet to be announced.

Cash (Michael Corinthos III), who literally grew up on the soap (he
began on the show in 2002 at age 7), has been let go. A source says the
young actor was caught off guard by the firing. The show is now
exploring the possibility of "aging" and ultimately recasting
the role. His final airdate hasn't been announced.

Knight (Tad Martin, All My Children)
Three-time Emmy® Award winner
Michael E. Knight originated the role of Tad Martin in 1983. He left for
a short time to pursue acting projects on the West Coast, returning for
two years beginning in 1988 before eventually returning for good in
December 1992.
Just prior to rejoining the cast, Michael starred in the play Run
for Your Wife on the Los Angeles stage. He also completed a lead
role in the Columbia Pictures feature film, Hexed, and has
guest-starred in a variety of primetime series -- including Murder,
She Wrote, Dear John and Grapevine. He co-starred in
the off-Broadway play Wrong Turn at Lungfish, and appeared in the
ABC movie for television, She Stood Alone: The Tailhook Scandal,
and in the off-Broadway play Cakewalk, with Linda Lavin.
Michael's also appeared in the feature film Date with an Angel.
Acting had been Michael's dream since the age of 12. He earned his
degree in theater arts in only three years at Wesleyan University in
Middletown, Connecticut. He then came to New York for more technical
training at the Circle in the Square Theater, graduating in 1982.
Michael appeared in stage productions of Absurd Person Singular
and Enemies, as well as in the feature film Baby, It's You.
Then came his role as Tad. Additionally he produced and starred in the
off-off-Broadway production of Call Back -- A Duel in One Act in
the spring of 1984. He also starred in the American Stage Company
production of Home Games, with Paul Sorvino as artistic director,
at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He later reprised his role in an
off-Broadway production of at the Hudson Guild.
Born in Princeton, NJ, Michael considers himself a Californian. He spent
his early years in Ojai in Southern California, where his father was a
faculty member at a boys' preparatory school, which he also attended.
The family later moved to San Francisco.
In 2001, Michael was honored with his third Daytime Emmy® Award. He
also received the 1997 Soap Opera Award for Best Supporting Actor and a
nomination in the same category in 1998. His first two Emmy® Awards for
Outstanding Younger Leading Actor in a Drama Series in 1986 and 1987.
