Every year, ABC soap fans anxiously wait to hear which one of their favorite ABC hunks will be featured in the ABC Hot Guys of Daytime calendar. Appearing in the 2009 edition are: from All My Children: Cameron Mathison (Ryan), Thorsten Kaye (Zach) and Aiden Turner (Aidan); from General Hospital: Maurice Benard (Sonny), Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Steve Burton (Jason), Jason Thompson (Patrick), Brandon Barash (Johnny) and Greg Vaughan (Lucky); from One Life to Live: Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio), John Brotherton (Jared) and Trevor St. John (Todd). The calendar is not on sale yet, but keep checking the ABC website, www.abc.com; it should be available soon.

In other news, two-time Emmy-winning actress Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers Abbott Newman, Young & the Restless), received a Good Samaritan Award for her humanitarian work from the Friends of the South Asian American Communities. The award was presented by Mayor Villaraigosa, Saturday, September 6 at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

General Hospital Lisa LoCicero (Sonia, One Life to Live) will guest as Olivia, Kate's cousin, September 19.

One Life to Live Michelle Robinson will play Llanview High's principal next week.

Young & the Restless Billy Miller will begin his role of Liam September 19. Joseph C. Phillips (Cosby Show) appears as a Security and Exchange Commission agent September 12. Jerry Douglas guests September 11. John Seminara appears as Rocco September 12. Bruce Neckles guests as FBI agent Miller September 12. Raya Meddine appears as a ghostly Sabrina September 24. Eileen Davidson begins her permanent role of Ashley September 26.

 

OUTS

Days of Our Lives Kristen Renton and Linden Ashby will exit as Morgan Hollingsworth and Pau Hollingsworth, respectively, very soon.

 

THIS WEEK

All My Children Kendall decides to help Josh. Ryan tells Annie it's officially over. JR becomes suspicious of Adam.

SPOTLIGHT ON...Austin Peck (Brad Snyder, As the World Turns) www.austinpeck.net

Actor and international model Austin Peck joined the cast of As the World Turns in December 2006 in the role of Brad Snyder, Jack's irresponsible brother.

Born in Hawaii and the son of a naval officer, Austin moved several times before settling down in Los Angeles with his family at the age of nine. With a debut on a television commercial for Kellogg's Pop Tarts, he soon became an international model gracing the magazine pages of GQ, Vogue Hommes, British Vogue and Esquire. Austin changed career paths in 1995 to turn to acting.

He is best known to television audiences for his role as Austin Reed on Days of Our Lives. His other television credits include CSI: NY, Strong Medicine, The District and Charmed. While living in Beverly Hills, Austin was also actively involved in theater and appeared in Blue Silence and Japanese Death Poem as a member of Theater 40.

Austin is an avid boxer and enjoys dabbling in the arts. He spends much of his free time with his wife, Tara, and their two children. His family recently relocated to New York City.
