Editor's Note

I have about a dozen characters coming in to introduce to you. There's a few outs, a couple of updates on two ABC stars and I want to look ahead to next month and let you know how some huge storylines will shape up.

It's a jam-packed issue this week so let's get to it.

Enjoy! Karen

     INS

All My Children Michael Cambias (William de Vry) returns September 7 for some guest spots to clear up the latest Cambias mystery.

As the World Turns Lorenzo Lamas' (Hector from the Bold & the Beautiful) son A.J. Lamas will play a boxer who'll work alongside Lucy. JJ (Dylan Denton) is Julia's son. He'll first appear August 16.

Days of Our Lives Nancy (Patrika Darbo) is back for a few shows beginning September 2. Billie Reed (Julie Pinson) comes to Captive Island September 13.

One Life to Live Governor Harrison returns this October. This time he'll be played by Andrew Masset. Judge Gail Hernandez (Priscilla Lopez) presides over Ace's custody hearing beginning August 30.

Young & the Restless Chad (Jason-Shane Scott) is Nick's old high school friend. He'll begin September 13. Elise (Dayanara Torres, yes singer Marc Anthony's ex) is Jack's tennis partner. She first appears August 31. "Kevin" (Justin Baldoni) and "Michael" (Michael McLafferty) are escorts that Gloria hires for an evening to introduce to John as her sons.

OUTS

As the World Turns James (Anthony Herrera) left last week, but the show's rep says the character could return at any time.

General Hospital Sage (Katie Stuart) and Trent (Trent Cameron) are both slated to leave this week.

Guiding Light Darcy (Amanda Serkasevich) will soon be leaving. Amanda has signed on to appear in Nine at the North Shore Music Theatre with co-star Robert Newman (Josh).

Passions Hank (Ryan McPartlin) is gone. Ryan will star in the WB's mid-season show, Shacking Up. The soap is deciding whether to recast.

NEWS & RUMORS

Two ABC faves may be bumped to recurring status. Ilene Kristen (Roxanne from One Life to Live) is a done deal, but All My Children and Marcy Walker (Liza) are still in talks. As well on Passions both Kelli McCarty (Beth) and Kathleen Noone (Mrs. Wallace) share Ilene's fate.

'Tis the season of injury. Darlene Conley (Sally) broke her leg during a Bold & the Beautiful hiatus. Producers want to see what condition she's in before deciding whether to write the injury into the show. One Life to Live's Timothy Adams (Ron) was also recently injured, forcing his character to sit out the Love Shack striptease. Funny, because a lot of fans were looking forward to seeing him strut his stuff.

John Enos (Bobby from Young & the Restless) has finally proposed to girlfriend Jennie Lee. No date has been set yet.

September will give anxious fans a lot of conclusions to major storylines. First off, at All My Children, the truth will begin to work itself out beginning September 13. On Days of Our Lives, Captive Island inhabitants and Salem residents will meet up again. Young & the Restless fans will see sort of answer to the romance between Ashley and Victor. This fall will also provide an opportunity for One Life to Live's John and Natalie to steam up the screen.

YOU'RE NOT ALONE (Tell me what's going on with your favorite soap: karensnews2004@yahoo.ca)

Fans are loving JR and Kendall's new alliance on All My Children, especially the impromptu kiss. They were hot a few years ago but are hotter now. The majority of fans want to see John with Natalie, though I suspect they just love John. I've heard from a fan who specifically starting watching One Life to Live again because of him.

Guiding Light fans are loving Bill and Olivia, describing the couple as "riveting". As the World Turns fans would like to see a relationship develop between Rosanna and Jordan.

Heather Lindell has been a fantastic addition to Days of Our Lives. The stunning beauty can act! That's a rare quality and we hope the show will hold onto that. They would love for the Island storyline to hurry along. For more info, check out the "News & Rumors" section. There's some big changes in store...
