Editor's Note

Days of Our Lives and Passions return Monday. In their honor they both get four teasers instead of the usual three. Meanwhile, there's a ton of new characters headed to One Life to Live, as well as (hopefully) a much missed favorite and two actors from Passions return from their "vacation".

Enjoy! Karen?

? ? ? ?  INS

Bold & the Beautiful Mark (Michael Dietz) is the doctor who treats Rick August 23. C.J. (Mick Cain) resurfaces September 14.

General Hospital Steven Lars Webber (Shaun Benson), Heather's son, begins September 10.

One Life to Live Renfeld (Stephen Bogardus) is the hit man who kidnaps Carlotta. Dr. Marie Quintana (Danielle Di Vecchio) is Kelly's psychiatrist, August 26. Justin (Christian James Durso) is a bartender at Rodi's who takes a date with Mark on August 25. "The Snitch" (Tony Ray Rossi) tattles on RJ's art heist, among other things beginning August 25.

Young & the Restless Hollywood Harry (Kevin Farrell) tangles with Phyllis August 31.

OUTS

As the World Turns Molly (Christina Chambers) exits September 2. Doc (D.J. Lockhart-Johnson) exits August 25. The actor has been fired.

Guiding Light Joey (Justin Klosky) exits September 24.

NEWS & RUMORS

Last week news surfaced that Darlene Conley (Sally from the Bold & the Beautiful) had broken her leg. The injury will be written into the show. Ms. Conley has a pin in her broken leg, but no cast.

Beth Ehlers (Harley) will be very busy on Guiding Light. She'll soon be playing dual roles in relation to her plot to ruin the Spauldings.

Despite Days of Our Lives' offer to keep Mary Beth Evans, the actress is scheduled to air on One Life to Live, playing Asa's doctor, beginning in October.

Returning actors alert...The Hartleys return to Passions! Justin (Fox) returns September 27 and Lindsay (Theresa) follows October 11. And...David Fumero (Cristian) is wanted back at One Life to Live.

? ? ? ?  THIS WEEK

All My Children Ryan reveals his feelings to Greenlee. Erica and Jack make time for romance. Zach's murder plot becomes a reality.

As the World Turns Lucy's love forces Dusty to plan for their future. Jack catches sight of a familiar-looking blond. Barbara gets closer to her goal.

Days of Our Lives Bo cracks the code. Sami gets a surprise phone call. Brady deals with crushing news. Jennifer's baby is born.

General Hospital Nikolas takes drastic action. Carly discovers a clue to her father's identity. Alcazar takes matters into his own hands.

Guiding Light Reva has to say goodbye to Josh. Buzz is surprised by an unexpected visitor. Olivia and Bill celebrate their victory unconventionally.

One Life to Live Antonio demands answers from Angelina. John turns the tables on Rex, Paul and Natalie. The judge prepares to announce her ruling in Ace's custody hearing.

Passions Whitney is stunned after learning her pregnancy results. Liz spills the last of her beans about Eve to TC. Kay and Simone set out to break up Chad and Whitney. Sheridan, Martin and Katherine are in danger after being duped by Alistair.

Young & the Restless Brad questions Victor's visitation proposal. Neil is outraged after he learns Dru has deceived him once again.

YOU'RE NOT ALONE (Tell me about your favorite soap: karensnews2004@yahoo.ca)

There's a reason why Kendall and JR have teamed up on All My Children. Both characters are on a slippery slope right now. Their desperation has definitely crossed the line! At General Hospital, Robin Mattson has revitalized the show. She is so talented and has incorporated her own brand of quick wit. (The fact that the Quartermaine family has a front-burner story again doesn't hurt either!)

How can you not love Young & the Restless' dueling divas Dru and Phyllis? They're hilarious. Their natural chemistry is evident making their comedic timing right on target every time. The consensus on Amber and Thomas' love scenes on the Bold & the Beautiful are a resounding: "ICK!!"

Poor Shawn! Days of Our Lives made him spend the whole summer in a cage and they don't seem to be giving him any opportunity to get out either. How long is he going to stay in the cage? Happy 5th birthday to Passions! It's better than it's ever been, thanks to Eve, TC, Liz and Julian.
