Editor's Note

Due to the fact that there's so much news to tell you about, You're Not Alone isn't included this week.?

It's all about ABC and CBS this week; I don't have any Days of Our Lives or Passions news. Sorry NBC fans, hopefully next week, but you can still check out the teasers. And by the way, I have Bold & the Beautiful teasers this week! Check out what you want guys, just be sure to...

Enjoy! Karen

NEWS & RUMORS

Shemar Moore returns in time for Young & the Restless' 8,000th episode, airing November 1. Executive producer/head writer Jack Smith wants us to tune in the week before because he has "a cool scene in mind the first time we see him and I'm determined to play it in some form." Moore's contract is open-ended, by the way.

While it may be great to have Colleen Dion (Felicia) back on Bold & the Beautiful, the commute from New York to L.A. is a killer. Both Dion and the show would like for her to stay the length of her contract, -- a year -- but if necessary, the show will recast.

The fans have spoken! The One Life to Live Santi storyline may be nearing its conclusion. Not only did the fans and press loath it, but the show's crew as well. We should've guessed because last week it was reported that Saundra Santiago was let go three months into her 6-month contract. OLTL sources are hinting that more Santi characters are on the way out as well. Maybe the bigger news is "the show's direction is said to be changing by the new year." Hmm...sounds vague and ominous.

NEWS & RUMORS continued...

Mary Beth Evans tells all about the decision to stay at As the World Turns. She believed that her character, Sierra wasn't going to have any great storylines coming up in the next six months so she was able to take on the One Life to Live role. ATWT gave her permission and she accepted OLTL's offer. Later, ATWT came up with a big story for her and she decided to stay and sign a one-year contract. As Evans puts it, "I'm a loyal person. I would have stayed on Days of Our Lives my whole life had it worked out."

Brad Maule is actually asking General Hospital to kill off his character, Dr. Tony Jones. Before you have him committed, let him explain, "They [GH] have no interest in him. It actually is a hindrance to me, careerwise. Unless they're going to do something with Tony, it just precludes me from working on other ABC and Disney shows. I would prefer that they either respect my character and do something with him or get rid of me. Kill Tony off." What really hurts is the show uses his son, Lucas prominently while he and Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) flounder in the background. The show has no plans to kill Tony.

Meanwhile, at GH, you'll notice it took longer to air their new opening than both All My Children and One Life to Live. Apparently, GH castmates were angry over Sonny (Maurice Benard) assuming top billing. They didn't want the show to be "a Sopanos wannabe", coupled by rumors that the actor may take a break from the show next year. The show would only say "there were widespread mixed feelings over what direction the new opening should take to accurately reflect the show's current form versus how others would like [the show] to be."

THIS WEEK

All My Children Ryan pressures Maria to reveal what she knows about Zach. Jamie learns more than he bargained for. Tad tries to get the truth out of Krystal.

As the World Turns Lucy gets too involved in Dusty's nasty scheme. Nikki sets the record straight for Henry. Alison forces Susan to make a choice.

Bold & the Beautiful Deacon turns a tragedy into a golden opportunity. Amber makes a desperate plea to win Brooke's approval.

Days of Our Lives Shawn doesn't seem the same after his accident. Bo is stunned to find Hope and Patrick naked together. Sami and Lucas plan their wedding.

General Hospital Emily and Nikolas fear Helena's curse. Jax gets an unpleasant surprise from Courtney. Jason issues a warning to Durant and Steven.

Guiding Light Lizzie and Coop go head-to-head. Dinah attempts to make peace with Edmund.

One Life to Live Bo makes a tough decision about Asa. David and Kelly fight their growing attraction. John invites Natalie back to his hotel room.

Passions Pilar faints when she sees Martin for the first time. Eve finally turns the tables on Ivy. Julian bonds with Katherine, who confronts Alistair.

Young & the Restless Victor is caught off guard by seeing Nikki at Marsino's.
