In the news this week are two huge recasts and more information about one soap's very special anniversary show.

Guiding Light Fantini (Robert Dionne) is an undercover cop beginning December 14. Zoo (Dennis Flanagan) is a friend of Jonathan's beginning December 15. Harris (David Don Miller) is a thug, December 16. Nurse Maguire (Katie Firth) enters December 16. A jail guard (Schuyler Yancey) has information for Gus December 16.

Passions Doctor (Patrick Pankhurt) and nurse (Deborah Geffner) are in December 13. A jewelry store clerk (Kathleen Mary Carthy) enters December 15. Rick (Sean Whalen), the pharmacist, appears December 17.

OUT

As the World Turns After nine months, Jordan (Chris Beetem) is exiting the show, January 27. The exit is "storyline-dictated."

NEWS & RUMORS

Young & the Restless found their new Gloria: Judith Chapman. Says executive producer/head writer Jack Smith, "We had a number of wonderful, wonderful finalists, she was up against some heavy hitters. She just blew us away." Chapman debuts in January.

Passions has found their new Alistair: John Reilly. Reilly begins January 21 and is best remembered as General Hospital's Sean Donnelly.

All My Children's 35th Anniversary episode is slated to air January 5. Look for favorites Larry Keith (Nick), Richard Shoberg (Tom) and Mark LaMura (Mark) to appear in the show as well. Head writer Megan McTavish also previews, "Mona has a big voice in this episode."

All My Children Adam decides to help Erica. Kendall refuses to listen to Greenlee. Erica, Tad and Jack confront JR with the truth.

As the World Turns Carly can't keep her hands to herself. Lily helps Craig but keeps Sierra's secret. Lucy sucks it up for Rafi's sake.

Days of Our Lives Patrick surprises Jennifer. A stranger arrives at midnight mass with important news for someone.

General Hospital Steven and Durant work together to save Carly's life. Jax and Sonny come to Alexis and Ric's rescue. Jason and Courtney still have feelings for each other.

Guiding Light Holly kisses Sebastian. Michelle and Tony celebrate Christmas their own way.

One Life to Live Kelly says an emotional goodbye. Todd makes a heroic escape. Dorian seeks revenge on Viki.

Passions Gwen and Theresa take DNA tests. Julian and Eve take a trip to Beverly Hills. Whitney and Fox run into Chad and Valerie.

SPOTLIGHT ON...Drew Tyler Bell (Thomas Forrester, Bold & the Beautiful)

Drew Tyler Bell was born in Indiana on January 29, but spent most of his childhood in Ohio. After starring in several local productions, he decided he wanted to be an actor. Most notably on TV, he appeared on Jake 2.0. On the big screen, he appeared in Jeepers Creepers 2.

He is a well-rounded individual, enjoying music and dance. He plays the guitar, violin and is a classically trained pianist. He is accomplished in ballet, jazz, hip-hop and tap dancing. Drew is a member of the L.A. tap troupe, Tap Sound Underground. He also enjoys soccer, basketball, baseball and skiing.

Currently Drew lives in Burbank.
