Editor's Note

In Soap Land, it's about the contracts. Two stars' contracts (or lack thereof) are what's news this week.

? ? ? ?  INS

All My Children Linc Tyler (Peter White) returns for Phoebe's funeral this May.

As the World Turns Rosanna (Cady McClain) returns April 29. Meg Snyder (Marie Wilson) will return June 16.

Bold & the Beautiful Prince Omar (Kabir Bedi) returns May 2 and 3.

Days of Our Lives Sami (Alison Sweeney) is back May 3. However, that doesn't mean Stan/Sami (Dan Wells) is leaving...

General Hospital Durant confesses to a priest (now played by Raymond Proscia; the role was originally to be played by Kale Browne, who became ill at the last minute.)

One Life to Live Carlo Hesser (Thom Christopher) will help usher in Asa's return this May.

Passions Ned (Dylan Fergus) begins May 16. Phoebe (Juliet Mills' real-life daughter Melissa Caulfield) is a doll Tabitha brings to life to watch Endora, May 4.

Young & the Restless A pool boy (Jeff Wilson, Survivor: Palau) catches Mac's eye May 12.

OUTS

Guiding Light Tony (Stephen Martines) dies April 28.

One Life to Live Riley (Jay Wilkison) will exit the show sometime after Jen leaves; Jen (Jessica Morris) is slated to exit next week.

NEWS & RUMORS

While the rest of us have questions about Kyle Lowder's (Brady) status at Days of Our Lives, he's not even thinking about it. His contract expires this July and neither side has sat down yet to discuss anything. As he says, "It's only April. There's a lot going on with the show between now and July." So, for now, we wait.

Meanwhile, at One Life to Live, despite the fact that Melissa Archer's (Natalie) rep is optimistic for Melissa and ABC to strike a deal, the soap is preparing to audition replacements. Her rep insists that Melissa still loves doing the show and wants to stay. Natalie is scheduled for major airtime this summer and if neither side can reach an agreement, the show needs someone.
