All My Children Mimi (Shari Headley), Danielle's mom and Derek's ex-wife, returns June 15. Bianca (Eden Riegel) brings Miranda home for Jack and Erica's wedding.

As the World Turns Gwen (Jennifer Landon) returns May 9 with a huge secret.

Days of Our Lives Celeste (Tanya Boyd), the psychic, returns May 17.

Guiding Light Mr. Key (Steve Blanchard) is a prison official, airing May 10.

Young & the Restless Doris (Karen Hensel), Sharon's mom, returns next week.

Passions NOTE: This isn't confirmed yet. It seems that due to the "cross your fingers" negotiations over Galen Gering's (Luis) future with the show, the character was written out. (Execs didn't think he'd re-sign.) It's rumored it will take six months for Luis to come back on the radar. The show, for its part, does not comment on contracts.

NEWS & RUMORS

William J. Bell, former Guiding Light, As the World Turns and Days of Our Lives writer, creator of Young & the Restless and Bold & the Beautiful, died April 29 at age 78 due to complications from Alzheimer's Disease.

As well, at B&B, Hunter Tylo (Taylor) is coming back! June 16 will mark the return of Antonio Sabato Jr. to soaps. He's rumored to be playing an Italian painter who will help Taylor escape from Prince Omar's palace. It's a rumor because the show is keeping the plotline a secret.

Heather Mills McCartney, wife of Paul McCartney, may be headed to Salem (Days of Our Lives) in late June. The rumors speculate she'll be involved in Philip's war storyline. McCartney is a spokeswoman for Adopt-a-Minefield, a U.N. campaign dedicated to eliminating land mines.

Rodney Van Johnson (TC, Passions) and wife Carmen Obando, have a new baby son, Alexis Antonio Benjamin Obando Van Johnson as of April 9.

All My Children Maria says goodbye to Zach. Greenlee tries to keep Zach and Kendall apart. Erica is infuriated by Jack's actions.

Matthew was born January 29 in Davenport, Iowa. He has four brothers and 3 sisters. At age 12, while his sisters were dragging him to auditions for local plays, he got bitten by the acting bug. Shortly after, the family moved to Fairfax, Virginia. After graduation, Matthew attended North Carolina School of the Arts. Eventually he joined the Ragamuffin Magic & Mime Company (and began getting paid!!)

After graduation from the NC School of the Arts, with his B.F.A. in Theatre, he moved to New York City. Almost immediately, he landed the role of Drew Ralston on One Life to Live. After a year, his character was killed, so he toured with a troupe, which soon landed him a role on Search for Tomorrow. He joined Days of Our Lives in 1987. After the birth of his daughter, Grace in 1992, he took some time off. It was at this time he appeared on General Hospital. Matthew also went back to live theater and appeared in films. In 2001, he returned to Days to be "killed off" in 2003, and "returned" again in June 2004. He and wife Christina also welcomed another daughter, Emma Cecily, into the world in July 1997.
