SPOTLIGHT ON...Steve Blackwood (Bart Beiderbecke,
Days of Our Lives)
Steve was born in Detroit. He
recently scored a contract after seven years as a recurring player! As well,
he nabbed the prestigious Matilda Award for Lifetime Achievement in Theater.
In New York, he studied with Uta Hagen and headlined as a singer at Tramps. In
Los Angeles, he appeared in NYPD Blue, Judging Amy and numerous
motion pictures.
Steve is known nationally as a jazz
artist. Look for Jazzbaby, an album recorded with Cybil Shepherd, this
fall. Steve had been married to his wife, Karen, for 15 years. With her, he
has a seven-year-old daughter, Nicole.
