NEWS & RUMORS
At break neck speed, just after the ink dried
on the reports that Days of Our Lives child star Christopher Gerse
(Will) was being recast, came word that the show has reconsidered. They
decided not to age the character and are keeping Gerse.
Despite the fact that storylines are
coming fast and furious, Christel Khalil (Lily, Young & the Restless)
has decided to chase her dream of being a movie star and will soon exit the
show. Khalil feels bad about the split because her management gave the show
the wrong impression. To ease the transition, she will stay on until they find
a replacement. (Her contract ended July 15.)
In more Y&R news, when
Melody Thomas Scott's Nikki gets roughed up by Vinny's henchmen, those bruises
are real. The show did bring in a stunt double for Scott, but for the scenes
where we had to see her face, she was indeed struggling. John Enos (Bobby)
explains bumps and bruises are a common occurrence after scenes like these.
And from the Guiding Light casting
department -- Alan-Michael is being recast...Phillip is returning. No, not
Grant Aleksander -- a stand-in. We'll get to see the back of Phillip's head.
