Editor's Note

If General Hospital is your fave soap, you picked a great week to read the newsletter. There are 4 returning/new characters, including a fan favorite, and 3 rumors that continue to swirl. And good news/ bad news coming out of Guiding Light.

     INS

Bold & the Beautiful Micah (House Calls: The Big Brother Talk Show host Marcellas Reynolds) appears with Brooke September 20.

Days of Our Lives Austin (Austin Peck) is finally back September 20.

General Hospital Faith (Cynthia Preston) resurfaces September 27. A police officer (John O'Hurley) comes to Sam's on the hunt for Jason September 20. The real-life stepson of Drake Hogestyn (John, Days of Our Lives) takes over the role of Lucas; Ben Hogestyn begins September 22. Robin (Kimberly McCullough) returns (again!) October 12.

Guiding Light Maureen (Ellen Parker) appears September 7. India (Mary Kay Adams) returns September 16 for a Spaulding board meeting.

Passions The real-life son of the late David Bailey (Alistair) begins September 13; Xander Bailey will play Edmund Sinclair, the wealthy son of a colleague of Alistair's.

Young & the Restless Noah, now played by Hunter Allan -- begins September 28.

OUT

Guiding Light Bill (Daniel Cosgrove) exits October 18 for a new Lewis Oil development.

NEWS & RUMORS

General Hospital rumors...The  rumors of Alicia Leigh Willis' (Courtney) possible exit in November -- when her contract expires -- and Kelly Monaco's (Sam) possible exit to Desperate Housewives continue to persist. Both actresses deny the splits, but we'll keep our eyes peeled (just in case). In a bizarre twist, the latest rumors have Jennifer Bransford (Carly) being recast by none-other-than Tamara Braun. Apparently, the rumor was true as it was posted on Bransford's own website. A short while later, the post was retracted. Hmm, the plot thickens...

How about a game of good news/bad news from Guiding Light...Good news -- Crystal Chappell (Olivia) has re-signed. The bad news -- Laura Wright (Cassie) hasn't and will soon exit.

Some sources claim that Jerry verDorn (Ross, Guiding Light) is the front runner for the re-casted role of One Life to Live's Clint Buchanan, slated to return later this fall.

And the crossovers from Bold & the Beautiful to Young & the Restless should continue into the fall, thanks to Sheila's (Kimberlin Brown) return to Y&R.
