Golden Globe and Emmy-award winning
motion picture and television star Susan Flannery has been with Bold &
the Beautiful as the Forrester matriarch since the show's conception in
1987.
Susan was born and raised in New
York. She received her BFA in Theater from Stevens College in Missouri and
attended graduate school in Arizona State before landing in Hollywood. Her
television debut was in the Voyage to the Balloon of the Sea. She
quickly landed the role of Dr. Laura Horton on Days of Our Lives where
Susan won her first Emmy. Her role opposite Robert Wagner in The Towering
Inferno won her her first Golden Globe. In 1981, she starred on Dallas for
10 weeks.
Multi-faceted talent that she is,
Susan produced the cable soap opera New Day in Eden with Michael Jaffe.
Susan is a licensed pilot and gourmet cook. In addition to being a B&B star,
she often serves as a B&B director. In 1995, she was nominated for
a Directors Guild Award.
