SPOTLIGHT ON...Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio Vega, One Life to Live) www.kamardelosreyes.com

Kamar originated the role of Antonio in 1995, quickly becoming a fan favorite during the two years. He came back in 2000 and has stayed ever since.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he moved to the U.S. at age two. He grew up in Las Vegas, surrounded by his family of professional musicians. He began playing the trumpet at age 4, being good enough to play alongside Dizzy Gillespie. He joined his family on the debut album, San Rafael 560, of his brother, Daniel.

In March 2002, Kamar appeared in the City Center Encores! production of Golden Boy. He began off-Broadway in 1994, in Blade to the Heat. In New York 1995, he starred opposite Patrick Stewart in the Shakespeare in the Park production of The Tempest. Other TV credits include New York Undercover, Promised Land, ER and the Showtime series Total Recall 2070. He has starred with Susan Lucci in the TV movie Blood on Her Hands. You can also catch Kamar in the VH1 made-for-TV film The Way She Moves with Annabeth Gish. In July 2003, he starred as boxer Jose Beveagua, in the HBO movie, Undefeated, opposite John Leguizamo. In May 2004, he traveled home to Puerto Rico to film Cayo. Want more Kamar? Check out the 2000 music video of Toni Braxton's Spanish Guitar.

In Kamar's rare downtime you'll most likely spy him with the love of his life -- his son. If not, he might be reading, writing, roller-blading, boxing, working out or on the basketball court.
