Editor's Note

It's personal week at the Bold & the Beautiful with two illnesses and a divorce in the headlines. Elsewhere, at General Hospital, there's some rumors floating around (one old, one new).

     INS

Bold & the Beautiful Rick (Justin Torkildsen) is back in L.A. for a while to attend to some family business. The "while" being November 4, 7 and 8.

Days of Our Lives The real-life wife of Dan Wells (Stan/Sami), Rachelle Wells, will play an employee at Glorianne's Day Spa October 24 and 25. Carrie Brady (Christie Clark) is set to return in December. Unfortunately that doesn't mean Mike (Roark Critchlow) is returning as well.

General Hospital Noah Drake (Rick Springfield) will appear in several episodes beginning in late November as he helps Robin treat Jason.

Guiding Light Harley asks for something from this Spaulding employee (Jason Butler Harner) October 24. Lizzie gets involved with the rich kid Dean (Victor Verhaeghe) on October 25.

Young & the Restless Lauren's mother JoAnna (Susan Seaforth Hayes, Days of Our Lives' Julie) reappears briefly in early December. See if you can spot Jack Smith's, Y&R's co-executive producer/head writer, cameo on October 28. HINT: He doesn't have a speaking part.

OUT

Bold & the Beautiful Ridge (Ronn Moss) exits October 27. Moss is taking an extended absence from the soap while he promotes his new CD, Uncovered. Ridge will return to the show in late December or early January.

NEWS & RUMORS

Bold & the Beautiful illnesses...First Susan Flannery (Stephanie) got stricken with bronchitis, then Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) was thrown from her horse during the week of October 3. Lang broke her wrist and will need to sport a cast for six weeks. So far, the injury isn't scheduled to be written into the show.

Bold & the Beautiful divorce...Hunter Tylo (Taylor) and husband Michael Tylo have confirmed their divorce. The couple has been married 18 years and share four children -- Chris, 25 (from her previous marriage); Mickey, 17; Izabella, 8; Katya, 7.

General Hospital rumors...Sources are claiming GH is actively seeking a replacement Courtney as Alicia Leigh Willis' contract negotiations don't seem to be going too well; her contract is up next month. Diego (Ignacio Serricchio) may exit by the end of the year after it was revealed that he was the stalker. Neither rumor has been confirmed by ABC -- remember, soaps "don't comment on rumors."

SPOTLIGHT ON...Roscoe Born (Tom Fisher, Young & the Restless) www.roscoeborn.com

Roscoe joined Young & the Restless in April 2005 as the abusive father of Kevin, "ex-husband" of Gloria and former stepfather of Michael.

Roscoe was born in Topeka, Kansas but grew up in Maryland. He attended Boston University's School of Fine Arts. He studied acting with Uta Hagen in New York. He received additional training with Robert Prosky at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. He began appearing in plays there at the tender age of 18.

Theater credits include Thief River, Mistresses, Fun and A Life in the Theater, which landed him a Dramalogue Award. No stranger to daytime fans, he's been on Santa Barbara (Robert Barr/Quinn Armitage), Ryan's Hope (Joe Novak), The City (Nick Rivers), All My Children (Jim Thomason) and One Life to Live (Mitch Laurence). He's also starred in Paper Dolls; the telefilm, The Haunting of Sarah Hardy and the independent film, Pow Wow Highway. If you the January 2005 National Geographic series Rescue Warriors, yes, that was Roscoe as narrator.

Roscoe resides in Los Angeles. He enjoys reading, playing the guitar and writing music. He donates a nice chunk of his time to Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFBD).
