Editor's Note

It's an ABC smorgasbord of news -- news of new contracts, old/unrenewed contracts and rumors, rumors, rumors. It seems an old fan favorite may be returning to All My Children -- but which one, some names have been floating around.

     INS

All My Children Amanda needs some help from a drug dealer (Curtis Holbrook) starting November 1. Janet (Kate Collins) returns for a very short time beginning November 15.

As the World Turns An FBI agent (Cyrus Farmer) makes Jack an interesting offer November 1 and 2.

Bold & the Beautiful The new Felicia is...Lesli Kay (Lois, General Hospital); she debuts November 30. Katherine (Jeanne Cooper, Young & the Restless) heads to L.A. to be part of the shakeup at Forrester Creations.

Guiding Light A wealthy pal of Lizzie's (Neal Bledsoe) first appears November 8.

One Life to Live Hayes (Jed Orlemann) returns to help Cristian out of a huge jam.

OUT

General Hospital Reese (Kari Wuhrer) last appears November 14. It's official -- Alicia Leigh Willis (Courtney) is leaving to try her hand at pilot season. Courtney's last airdate hasn't been set.

NEWS & RUMORS

Peter Parros (Ben) and Mary Beth Evans (Sierra) have both gone off-contract status at As the World Turns. Speculations are that Sierra will recur from time to time but that Ben most likely won't.

Kassie DePaiva (Blair, One Life to Live) has signed a new four-year deal. Congratulations to her and the show!

I have some All My Children gossip for you. With the recent confirmation of Rebecca Budig's (Greenlee) exit, it looks like the soap may try to recast the role. And after the recent news of Kate Collins' (Janet) return, sources are saying that another fan favorite is in talks to return as well -- the names that are floating around? Noah, Dixie or Bianca. Stay tuned!

SPOTLIGHT ON...Ian Buchanan (Dr. Greg Madden, All My Children)

Ian joined All My Children in May 2005 after successful runs on other ABC soaps, like General Hospital (Duke Lavery) and Port Charles (Joshua Temple).

After emigrating from his native Hamilton, Scotland, Ian began his acting career in 1986 when he joined GH. Three years later, he joined the cast of  It's Garry Shandling's Show as Ian. Other primetime credits include The Equalizer, The Flash, Columbo and Quantum Leap.

On stage, in the L.A. production of Equus, won a DramaLogue Award. Ian has also appeared in The Heiress and The Maids. With the West Coast Ensemble, he starred in Love and Anger.

A chance meeting with director David Lynch while making a Calvin Klein commercial with Lara Flynn Boyle, led to his role as Richard Tremayne on Twin Peaks. Following the finale of that show, Ian appeared in On The Air, directed by David Lynch and only being broadcast in Europe.

On the big screen, look for Ian in Bobby and Marilyn, Double Exposure, The Cool Surface and The Seventh Sign.

In 1997, Ian won his first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for his role on Bold & the Beautiful as Dr. James Warwick.
