Editor's Note

The news this week centers around some top stars resigning with their soaps. There is one star missing from the list and the situation may be getting desperate. If you love her, you better let her soap know it because the "prognosis" doesn't look good.

     INS

Days of Our Lives Becky (Genesis Rodriguez, a latina Telemundo star) debuts December 9.

General Hospital Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) "returns" December 14. (Thanks to Chris Beetem for the temporary fill-in.)

Passions Maya (Kyrie Maezumi), a woman from Noah's past, begins January 19.

Young & the Restless The Bold & the Beautiful's Eric (John McCook) is scheduled to make an appearance at the wedding December 9. Former Y&R hairstylist and Soap Opera Digest "Coify-Talk" columnist Russell Patrick Latham will play a hairstylist who does Lauren's hair for the wedding December 6.

DROPPED

Bold & the Beautiful Phoebe and Steffy (Addison and Alex Hoover) have been bumped to recurring.

OUTS

As the World Turns Keith and BJ (Kin Shriner and Brian Gaskill) are both out as storyline-dictated. Shriner exits in January and Gaskill in late December. The door has been left open for Shriner to possibly return if needed.

One Life to Live Carlo's (Thom Christopher) latest evil scheme has been foiled, but the door is always open for a Carlo return.

NEWS

Contract updates -- Robin Strasser (One Life to Live's Dorian), Julia Barr (All My Children's Brooke), Jeanne Cooper (Young & the Restless' Katherine), Winsor Harmon (Bold & the Beautiful's Thorne) and Rick Hearst (General Hospital's Ric) have signed all new contracts.

One top star missing from the list is Hillary B. Smith (One Life to Live's Nora) who was recently seen on the set of Bold & the Beautiful. This is a warning to all Hillary/Nora fans, get writing or emailing OLTL ASAP! The show is planning on languishing Nora in her coma until February sweeps and then they promise a "shocking twist."
