Editor's Note

Kristoff St. Jean (Neil, Young & the Restless) fans can breathe a little easier now; the actor has just signed a new three-year deal. Unfortunately, you can say goodbye to Jerry Douglas (John) March 1. It looks as if John will go to jail for killing Tom.

     INS

Guiding Light Justin Klosky (Joey) will return mid-March.

Passions Chris Hendrie plays Mr. Collier, a colleague of Theresa's, starting February 23. Galen Gering (Luis) returns March 8.

Young & the Restless Entertainment Tonight anchor Kevin Frazier appears February 20, reporting on the Tom murder case.

OUT

Days of Our Lives Gigi Birmingham (Lois) exits February 24.

NEWS

Don't be surprised if Michael O'Leary (Rick), Beth Chamberlin (Beth) and Elizabeth Keifer (Blake) return to the Guiding Light canvas. If they were to return (or for those who choose to return), they would be placed back onto the standard 13-week contract.

SPOTLIGHT ON...Crystal Chappell (Olivia Spencer Lewis Spaulding, Guiding Light) www.crystalchappell.com

Crystal joined Guiding Light in July 1999 after successful runs on Days of Our Lives (Dr. Carly Manning) and One Life to Live (Maggie Carpenter). Crystal won a Daytime Emmy in 2002 for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

Born in Silver Springs, Maryland, she studied computer science at Coast Carolina College. At the University of South Carolina, she studied journalism. While on a break from her studies, she starred in Beauty and the Beast at the University of Maryland, which required her to enroll in the University's acting program. In another production, Spring's Awakening, Crystal got to perform at the Kennedy Center as the production made it to the finals of the National College Theatre Festival.

When she finally graduated, Crystal moved to New York City to pursue her newfound career. She read the book Sanford Meisner on Acting and was so inspired, she wrote him and he invited her to join a group of students who were going to his home in the West Indies for intensive theatrical training.

She returned stateside and guest-starred in Walker, Texas Ranger, Pensacola, Wings of Gold, Burke's Law and Diagnosis Murder. In feature films, pick her out in Lady in Waiting and Bigfoot: The Unforgettable Encounter. Professional theater production credits include The Three Sisters, The Balcony, The Twelfth Night and The Comedy of Errors.

Crystal lives in New Jersey with her actor husband Michael Sabatino and their two sons Jacob and Dylan. Crystal's birthday is August 4.
