Editor's Note

The rumor mill is in full swing this week; here's the latest. Ingo Rademacher (Jax, General Hospital), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer, Days of Our Lives) and Tom Pelphrey (Jonathan, Guiding Light) may all be exiting their respective soaps when their contracts expire this year. Rumors are also hinting that Shemar Moore (Malcolm, Young & the Restless) will not return this time. With Paolo Seganti (Damian, As the World Turns) returning, apparently Paul Leyden (Simon) is very close to coming back himself. In other news, Peyton List (Lucy) may return this summer.

SPOTLIGHT ON...Christie Clark (Carrie Brady, Days of Our Lives) www.christieclark.com

After a six-year absence, Christie recently returned home to Salem to resume her role of Carrie Brady.

The eldest of three children, after starring in a school play at age 9, Christie decided acting was her passion. She soon starred in a Mattel commercial. If you think you spotted her in A Nightmare on Elm Street Part II: Freddy's Revenge or on the TV series Ask Max, you did.

After her first four-year run on Days of Our Lives, Christie left for guest appearances on Hull High, Life Goes On, Changes, General Hospital, the made-for-TV movie Danielle Steel's Changes and the feature film Children of the Corn Part II.

Christie returned to Days in 1992 where she stayed for the next seven years. During this hiatus, she traveled abroad, where she met her husband, and found the martial art of Krav Maga, which she continues to practice. Christie also created a line of clothing for women snowboarders. Also, she owns a San Francisco restaurant.

Christie and her husband split their time between Los Angeles and San Francisco, and are parents to two dogs.
