SPOTLIGHT ON...Corbin Bernsen (John
Durant, General Hospital)
Corbin joined the cast of General
Hospital in September 2004 as John Durant, Carly Corinthos' biological
father.
Corbin has an extensive list of
credits. The most recent being the 2005 movie Carpool Guy, which he
wrote and directed, and a recurring role on the UPN series Cuts as
Shannon Elizabeth's father. He has co-starred in Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang
with Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer, Raging Sharks and Law and
Order: Special Victims Unit. Best known for his role or Archie Becker on
the ground-breaking drama L.A. Law, Corbin has also most noticeably
appeared in the Major League feature film series (I, II and III), Great
White Hype and Shattered. Also on TV, he was in The Cape and
Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss.
Born and raised in North Hollywood,
California, Corbin followed in the footsteps of his mother, the Young &
the Restless' Jeanne Cooper. After high school graduation, Corbin enrolled
in UCLA, earning a MFA in Theater Arts.
Corbin and wife Amanda Pays live in
Los Angeles with their four sons.
