SPOTLIGHT ON...Jordan Clarke (Billy
Lewis, Guiding Light)
Jordan has been playing Billy on and
off for the last 15 years. He originally began his run in May 1983 until
January 1987. He returned from June 1989 until 1994. He then rejoined the show
in 1997. However, his first role on Guiding Light was in November 1974
as Dr. Tim Ryan.
Born in Rochester, New York, Jordan
graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and
an MFA in acting. He continued his theatrical training with John Heffernan and
Peter Kass at the New York University School of the Arts.
Jordan has been very active in
regional theater with the Ithaca Repertory Theatre, the Olney Theatre and Long
Wharf Theatre. He co-founded the off-Broadway Shaliko Co.
Some of his numerous primetime guest
spots include Three's Company, Knight Rider, The Tony Randall
Show, Fantasy Island, MASH and Law & Order.
Jordan appeared in the TV miniseries The Executioner's Song and Testimony
of Two Men. In TV movies, he was in Charleston, Forever, Jacob,
Have I Loved and Ridley Scott's White Squall.
Jordan plays the guitar and trumpet,
writes fiction, poetry and film scripts. He has also run a construction
company and raised purebred quarter horses. He and his daughter Chelsea live
in New York City.
