All My Children hasn't been able to escape the budget crunch that's sweeping through SoapLand; Jill Larson and Tonya Pinkins (Opal and Livia) are the latest victims. Both actresses have been dumped from the show's new opening credits to make way for five new contract players. A show rep suggests they may recur from time to time but we might see more cuts in the following weeks...

Newcomer Melissa landed her first professional acting job when she joined One Life to Live as Adriana in January 2004. Born and raised in New Jersey to Cuban-born parents,they both moved to the U.S. as teenagers. Melissa received her BFA in Drama from New York University in December 2003. A dancer since childhood, she continues to take classes.

Melissa enjoys going to the theatre and reading.
