Report: PA mulling unilateral declaration of statehood
Haaretz/a-Sharq al-Awset - According to a-Sharq al-Awset daily, the Palestinian Authority is considering cutting off its diplomatic contacts with Israel and unilaterally declaring statehood. There is little hope that the round of trilateral talks scheduled for Washington next week would produce any concrete result, particularly in face of the United States` evdient unwillingness or inability to stop the ever-new announcements of settlement extensions on the West Bank.
