 Barghouthi: Israel detained more than four times the number of Palestinians it released since Annapolis
Rula Shahwan - Ma`an/IMEMC - According to former Palestinian Information Minister Mustafa Barghouthi, Israel has released 788 prisoners since the re-launch of Palestinian-Israeli negotiations at the Annapolis conference last year, and arrested some 3,700. In the past 24 hours, six Palestinians were reported detailed by Israeli troops in Anabta, two in Nablus, three (on two sepearte occasions) in Hebron, and one in Kuper Village north of Ramallah.

 Palestinians block settler takeover of house in south Jerusalem
Ma`an/ISM/ Wikio Jerusalem - A group of Palestinians successfully blocked Israeli settlers from occupying the home of Baha` Addin Darwish in the town of Beit Safafa, south of Jerusalem. Last week, the settlers attempted to occupy the house with furniture and religious books, but Palestinian residents sent them away.
