Editor's Note

It sounds like a perfect solution to all decorating problems to go in for neutral colors for the walls, ceilings and floor. The greatest benefit - you don't have to give up that beautiful sofa set, the trendiest upholstery and that antique table just because it does not go with the colors of your room. Almost everything fits in perfectly with the backdrop of neutral colors. But what about the monotony and the dull look that you have to endure? Well, there are perfectly easy and creative solutions to accentuating dull, neutral-colored rooms. Accessories!

I just 'perked-up' my home office by adding a bright watercolor and then choosing two colors from that painting, I chose two new office-chairs and a couple of cushions for the sofa on the side. I finished with a lamp near the window seat and voila! My little space was transformed. If you are looking for such creative ideas to perk-up your tired rooms, you can get some great ideas in our article 8 Ways to Perk Up Your Rooms.

Happy Decorating!

8 Ways to Perk Up Your Rooms
Most people stick with neutral colors for walls and flooring which can lead to a bland, dull look that simply doesn't have any pizzazz. Here are eight easy ways to perk-up your dull rooms by adding the right accessories.

--------------------------------------------------------

What to Wear to a Wedding
If you've been invited to a wedding, then you'll need something suitable to wear. Your attire should depend on several factors. First, what does the invitation specify? Often the wedding invitation you receive will let you know if the wedding is black tie or more casual.

--------------------------------------------------------

 Lavender Crafts
Summer's the time to gather as many sweet smelling blooms of the season and preserve them. Use the aromatic and calming lavender to create beautiful crafts to last all the winter season and beyond.

--------------------------------------------------------

Family Reunion Planning
A family reunion is a fantastic way to reconnect with loved ones you may not have seen in awhile. Celebrate your family pride and have fun with your relatives at one of these gatherings.

LET'S TALK BUSINESS

SEO Home Business

One of the home businesses that have caught on in recent years is SEO home businesses. SEO stands for search engine optimization and an SEO entrepreneur usually creates web sites and blogs and monetizes them for profit. If you are interested in a great home business idea, here are some tips on SEO home businesses.

When most people start an SEO business they usually think of building web sites and monetizing them with Google Adsense. Google Adsense is a way for web site publishers to collect commissions on the advertisements that their visitors click on. While this is an extremely lucrative way for a web site publisher to make a profit, there are plenty of others.

Another great way to monetize a web site is by selling affiliate products. An affiliate is a web site owner that advertises another company’s product. If a web site visitor buys an affiliate product from your web site, you receive a commission usually from 10% to 75%. You don’t have to do anything, just refer the visitor to the affiliate products site. Shipping, payment and tech support are all provided by the product creator.

Another great way to create an SEO Home business is to sell advertising. If you have a highly visited site that caters to a niche market, you might want to sell space on your web site to advertisers. Many highly visited web sites make thousands of dollars a month just on one web site.

And last but not the least, you can also make money optimizing websites for others. You can have your client base for whom you can perform all SEO tasks. Many webmasters prefer to leave the SEO part to experts and concentrate on the trading part themselves. If you are looking for a home business opportunity, look into an SEO home business.

APPETIZER RECIPES

Mushroom Phyllo Tarts

Ingredients:

3/4 c. dairy sour cream
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
1 tbsp. dried dill weed
1/2 tsp. salt
1-2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 (4.5 oz.) jar Green Giant sliced mushrooms, drained
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 c. butter or margarine
8 (18 x 14 inch) frozen phyllo pastry sheets, thawed

Directions:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, bread crumbs, dill weed, salt and lemon juice; blend well. Stir in sliced mushrooms. Set aside. To make garlic butter, in small skillet over low heat, cook garlic in butter until tender, stirring constantly. Coat 16 muffin cups with garlic butter. Set aside. Brush large cookie sheet with garlic butter.

Unroll phyllo sheets; cover with plastic wrap or towel. Brush one phyllo sheet lightly with garlic butter; place on buttered cookie sheet. Brush second phyllo sheet lightly with garlic butter; place on top of first buttered sheet. Repeat with remaining phyllo sheets. With sharp knife, cut through all layers of phyllo sheets to make 16 rectangles. Lightly press each rectangle into garlic buttered muffin cup.

Spoon heaping tablespoonful sour cream mixture into each cup. Top each with whole mushroom, pushing stem into filling. Drizzle with remaining garlic butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until light golden brown.

Tips to Save Money on Electricity Bills

Replace incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescents.

Air-dry dishes instead of using your dishwasher's drying cycle.

HOUSEHOLD TIPS

Stain Removal Tips

Candle Wax
Peel off any surface wax, sandwich the fabric between blotting paper or kitchen towel and iron over the mark to melt out the remaining wax. Dab with a grease solvent to remove the last traces, and then wash according to care label.

Grass
Soak in Sunlight and water for 30 minutes. If stain remains, pre-soak overnight. Then wash in hottest water safe for fabric. If stain persists, rewash using fabric-safe bleach.

Water Soluble Inks
Rinse stain under running cold water to remove as much ink as possible. Rub with Sunlight Liquid and rinse thoroughly. Wash with Sunlight in hottest water safe for fabric.

Adhesives
Use a nail varnish remover, then wash as normal. Make sure to check the type of fabric first - do not use on acetate or triacetate.
