CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS
Christmas Gift Ideas for Men
by
http://www.Celebrating-Christmas.com
One important part of Christmas is
gift giving. But sometimes, you may be at a loss as to what to get
those special men in your life. Here are some ideas for gifts guys
love:
Books:
Does the guy in your life love to read? Then you're in luck! Try
presenting him with a book that you know he wants, or go out on your
own and choose something. Does your guy love sports? Then try a
biography of his favorite sports star. Is he a history buff? Then
how about a book about his favorite time period? Another idea is a
fun desk calendar. These little calendars come in so many different
themes, from comics to sports to fun things like 365 uses for duct
tape.
Grooming Products:
Ok, so maybe a bottle of aftershave is a gift
that you think doesn't take much thought or effort. Maybe you want
something a little more special for your guy. These days, you can
find grooming sets that contain essentials like cleanser, aftershave
and even moisturizer designed to be soothing on a man's skin. You
could try an old fashioned shaving kit, complete with straight razor
and fluffy brush to apply hot cream.
Games and Sporting
Equipment: What guy doesn't like sports?
The golf enthusiast in your life would love monogrammed golf balls
or a new club. Even an indoor putting set can be an appreciated
gift. If your guy is more into things like card games, how about a
poker table or some collectible poker chips?
Alcohol:
It's a fact of life that many guys like beer. If your guy is one of
them, how about a home brewery set? Or, you could present your guy
with a case of his favorite imported brew. For wine drinkers, a
great vintage would be a good idea. You can also try collectible
beer steins or wine glasses.
Food:
What guy doesn't love to eat? A gift of food can be a good idea for
any guy. How about an attractively wrapped gift set filled to the
brim with smoked sausage and gourmet cheese. For a coffee lover, try
some gourmet coffee presented in a brand new mug or cup. This would
make an ideal gift for a male boss or co-worker.
Gadgetry:
What guy doesn't love gadgetry? Try presenting your guy with a
personal organizer or PDA to store all his appointments and
addresses. For video game lovers, how about a handheld game system
and some favorite games? For the less technologically inclined males
out there, a Swiss army knife is always a popular choice.
You can find the perfect gift for the
men in your life with a little thought. Use the ideas presented
above or come up with your own! Any gift you present with thought
and love is sure to be appreciated!

CHRISTMAS RECIPE
Roast Leg of Lamb with Apricot and Thyme
- by
http://www.AllHolidayRecipes.com
Ingredients:
1 leg of lamb (about 2kg)
1 handful of picked thyme
1/2 clove garlic
salt olive
oil
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 handful of dried apricots
Directions:
With a knife follow the lamb bone down about 120mm (you are
just making a 'tunnel' where you are cutting the meat away from
the bone).
Do this from the top end and the bottom end.
Pierce the skin at an angle with a sharp pointed knife 6 or 8
times at random around the leg.
Where you have made the incisions open them up a bit by poking
your fingers down them to make a bit of space.
Using a pestle and mortar smash up a good handful of thyme
leaves with the garlic and 1 teaspoon of salt.
When it's pulped add 1 tablespoon olive oil and the juice of 1/2
a lemon.
Roughly chop up a good handful of dried apricots (these taste
great) and mix up with what's in the pestle and mortar.
Stuff all of this into alt the incisions and gaps that you have
made with the knife. Rub any excess over the skin.
Season with a little salt.
Put a little oil in a hot roasting tray (preferably a nice thick
one) add the lamb then roast it in the oven at 225C/425F/gas 7
turning every 30 minutes until cooked.

KWANZAA
Decorating Ideas for Kwanzaa
by http://www.Celebrating-Kwanzaa.com
When decorating your home for the Kwanzaa holiday, remember the
traditional colors of red, green and black. You can use a miniature
Christmas tree to make a Kwanzaa bush. Decorate your Kwanzaa bush
with red, green and black ornaments. If you've got children, give
them construction paper, tape, and safety scissors and let them
create their own Kwanzaa bush decorations, like strings of connected
paper loops in red, green and black which can be draped around the
tree like garland.
On your table, create a beautiful and traditional centerpiece. Start
with a straw mat, or mkeka, in the center. Place the kinara, or
candleholder, on top. In the candleholder you will place the
mishumaa saba, which is a candle with seven flames. On either side
of the candleholder, arrange ears of corn. One nice idea is to have
one ear of corn for each of your children. Around this centerpiece
place a unity cup, basket of fruit, and Kwanzaa gifts.
For the rest of your home, try decorations in red, green and black.
Hang or drape the the Bendera Ya Taifa flag behind your centerpiece,
always facing east. For the rest of your home, try balloons in
streamers in the holiday colors. African art is always a great way
to decorate your home for Kwanzaa as well. Tribal masks hung on the
wall are a striking choice. Or, why not choose some beautiful pieces
of sculpture?
Decorating for Kwanzaa can be fun and meaningful for the whole
family. Encourage children to make their own decorations. One fun
project is letting them make placemats from red, green and black
construction paper, then having the placemats laminated.
Kwanzaa is a special time of year, and your home should reflect
that! Decorating for Kwanzaa can be a fun and creative way to
experience the beauty and heritage of the season.

Jean Purse & Wallet
by
http://www.iLovetoCraft.com
Jean Purse
There are 2 ways to make the jean
purse. You can use the leg or cut the legs off and use the "torso".
To do the torso, cut the jeans like you would if you were making
really short, shorts. Then you can either sew or use hot glue to
seal the bottom of your new purse, its that easy. Make sure the
bottom is real secure. To make a smaller version with the leg you
just cut a square out of the leg and do the same. You can use the
rest of the jeans to make the handle or strap.
Some other creative ideas for this
craft: Use 2 different coloured jeans (one dark, one light) and
use/cut out designs, pockets, buttons, zippers and other cool stuff.
There are so many cool ideas for this craft!
Jean Wallet
When your done its even possible to
make a Jean wallet that matches! Make the wallet using the back
pocket of your jeans. Use a button or Velcro to close the wallet.
