5 Methods To Link Building For Your Website
Link building, although one of the most difficult aspects to SEO,
is one of the most vital pieces to success. Link building consists
of getting other sites to place your link on their website in
exchange for you placing their link on yours. What makes link
building difficult is finding quality websites to exchange links
with you, because poor websites have no benefits to trading links
with. Here are 5 methods you can use to help build links.
Buy links - The better quality the links are on your website, the
more professional your website will be. You can buy all sorts of
links for your website, but the better links will cost you more than
others. It can become expensive to buy respectable links, but you
have to determine if it will be worth it in the end.
Link Exchanges - This link building method is the most
popularized way of exchanging links. There are several link
directories that allow you to see the Google page rank, view the
website, and determine whether or not you want to request a link
exchange. After requesting to exchange links, the other person can
either accept or decline your request. This is an effective method
because it allows you to request hundreds of thousands of link
exchanges from one site.
Article writing - Many people do not realize it, but article
writing is a great way to build links. By writing your article,
placing a bio box on the bottom and submitting it to article
directories, you are getting tons of free advertising. From there,
you will generate a higher traffic volume and get the opportunity to
exchange links with them as they come to your website.
Link directory submissions - One of the older link building
techniques is submitting your website to a web directory. There are
a number of web directories to choose from, but a couple of the more
popular directories include DMOZ and Yahoo! Directory.
Write testimonials - By writing testimonials to your web host,
web designer, web developer, or article writer, you are not only
benefiting them but yourself as well. This can be ineffective
because you run the risk of them not linking to you, but it is an
easy way to potentially get linked with a large website.
There are hundreds of ways you can go about link building for
your website, but these are some techniques worth considering. If
you are just starting out, it is important that you try out several
different methods to get as many links as possible.

Ingredients:
225g self raising flour
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
pinch salt
3 eggs separated
375m1 milk
50g caster sugar optional
oil for greasing
Sieve the flour salt and bicarbonate of soda together into a bowl.

Whisk the egg whites until fluffy but not dry.
Beat 1 tablespoon egg white into the batter then fold the remaining
egg white into the batter carefully.
Lift the lid of the simmering plate brush clean and then wipe over

tablespoonfuls of mixture over the simmering plate about 5 at a

The scones will rise and puff up.
Turn over and cook the second side. When golden brown place on warm
serving plate or in a napkin to keep warm. Serve piled up with
golden syrup or maple syrup.
These are particularly nice with crispy bacon and maple syrup. But
of course they are good with butter and jam as well. They are light
but substantial and make a change from scotch pancakes though
they're cooked in the same way.

HOME IMPROVEMENT
Bathroom Renovation: 10 Things to
Consider Before You Start
Are you moving? You may
have to remodel your bathroom before the van pulls up. "An old
bathroom will send potential buyers fleeing!" exclaims Lisa La
Porter, designer for the "Sell This House" television series.
Remodeling a dated bathroom will get you thousands of extra dollars.
Not moving? Remodel your bathroom and enjoy it. Consider these
points before you sign a contract.
1. NEIGHBORHOOD. Read the real estate ads and the prices of
comparable homes in your area. See how many full and half baths
these homes have. Do not spend so much on bathroom renovation that
you price your home out of the neighborhood.
2. REAL ESTATE MARKET. Get a professional home appraisal. The
appraiser should also be able to estimate the added value of a
renovated bathroom. These numbers will help you to determine your
budget.
3. YOUR BUDGET. How much are you willing to spend on bathroom
renovation? This depends on your vision of the bathroom and the
materials you choose. At $40 per square foot glass tiles are far
more expensive than plain white ones, for example.
4. BUDGET OVER-RUNS. The cost of materials is rising, so it is a
good idea to add a few thousand dollars to your budget to cover any
cost over-runs. It is better to be prepared now than sorry later.
5. BATHROOM TRENDS. According to www.HGTV.BathDesign current
trends include elegant lighting, rain showers, higher vanities,
vessel sinks, and designer faucets. The days of the old rectangular
bathtub are gone. New tubs have different shapes and surfaces,
indeed, some are works of art.
6. HIRING A DESIGNER. A bathroom designer can save you money and
costly mistakes. The designer should be certified by the Society of
Certified Bathroom Designers. To learn more about certification read
"The National Kitchen & Bath Association Certification Policies and
Procedures" on nkba.org/anonymous/certification_Policies_Procedures-2006.pdf.
7. TYPE OF BATHROOM. Home owners who invest in master baths
usually get their money back. However, you may not want to put a lot
of money into a guest bathroom or lower level bathroom.
8. THE RENOVATION COMPANY. Check out the renovation company
before you sign a contract. Get reviews from previous customers and
local business bureau. Your most important question: Does this
company do quality work?
9. WORK SCHEDULE. The renovation company should be able to
estimate how long the job will take. Renovation is messy work and
plaster dust, dry wall scraps, and tile shards track all over the
house. You don't want to live in chaos for months.
10. DYI JOBS. After renovating one bathroom you might not have
the money to renovate another. Still, simple do it yourself jobs
like painting walls, installing new lighting, and framing a mirror
can make an old bathroom look new. After all of that work you may as
well enjoy a good soak. You earned it!

6 Ways to Keep Active at Work
Many of us seem to be glued to our desks for 8-10 hours a day.
This can be very unhealthy for our bodies as well as our minds.
The only thing we are exercising is our hands as we frantically
pound away on our keyboard and try to bang out that critical
report that is due by the end of the day. Sitting all day can put
our brains in to a state of hibernation. We need to do something
active to keep our blood flowing, and help us perform at our
optimum level.
Here are 6 ways that we can help keep our blood flowing and our
minds alert.
1. When break time comes be sure to get up and move around.
Take a lap or two around the office or parking lot. Don't just
sit there and shove another donut in your mouth.
2. Keep a pair of walking shoes at the office.
This way you will always be prepared for a walk. At lunch time
take a half hour walk. If you can't walk for half and hour, walk as
much as you can. Any exercise is always better than none.
3. Park farther away from the office door.
This will make sure that you will get at least a little bit of
walking done. Also choose the stairs over the elevator. Every bit of
exercise will help your body and and mind to stay active.
4. Set an alarm.
Set a reminder on your desk that will remind you to get up and
stretch. It is good to do this at least every half and hour. This
will keep the blood circulating and help to increase your
productivity during the day.
5. When the phone rings stand up to talk.
This may not always be possible, but if you can this will give
you another opportunity to get your blood pumping.
6. When traveling wear walking shoes.
If you have any layovers or extra time before flights take your
time to walk around and explore the airport.
Many of us have a hard time staying active and alert while we are
at work. Try these 6 simple activities to help you stay focused and
more productive at work.
