Today is
Mother's Day! Some call it a day to make gift and card shops
rich. Some others smirk and say that this is not the only day
to remember one's mother. A lot many may not even bother to
give it a second thought. But for most of us, it is a special
day! The joys of receiving a messed up handmade greeting card
with a crudely drawn mother on it is above all the joys of
this world. It is also the day of taking out time and doing
something for your mother, be it as simple as sending her an
email or for those who have been left bereft of that God's
angel on earth, taking her favorite flowers to her grave.
Mother's are after all mothers, and will appreciate every
little thing that you do for them.
In our own
ways, lets gather these little joys of life today and
celebrate this day meant to celebrate the everlasting bond of
love between a Mother and her Children. Dot Com

Remembering Mother's Day Layouts
Mothers are
usually the one taking photos -- and creating the albums -- so
often times, we don't see much of Mom in scrapbooks. However,
this Mother's Day, take care to have your photo taken, and create
a Mother's Day layout.
One idea is to let each of your children take your photograph --
depending on their ages, the results can be very, um,
interesting. Have a photograph taken of you holding your homemade
card or other prized gift that they created. Even a hug is a
sweet gift from a loved one, so no matter what you unwrap on
Mother's Day, be sure to get a photo taken with your children, or
perhaps your own mother.

add that perfect touch to any Mother's Day layout:

Chocolate Soda Recipe
(A simple recipe your kids can make it for you)
2 tsp chocolate syrup (the kind you make chocolate
milk with
2 Tbsp milk
2 Tbsp vanilla ice cream
1 cup lemonade
1 ice cube
In a tall glass, mix chocolate syrup and milk. Add ONE Tbsp vanilla
ice cream. STIR
Add 2nd Tbsp vanilla ice cream, 1 cup lemonade and 1 ice cube. Stir
lightly.
Serve with a straw.

- Go shopping with your Mom. Buy her something of her choice.
- Spend time with her. Give her a visit if possible. It's a
Sunday after all!
- Cook her a special dish. Maybe something she likes, or
something she took a lot of pains to teach you...lol
- Give her a handmade gift. It could be a quilt, an embroidered
cover, a dress stitched by you, a sweater knitted for her or even
a smaller gift like a hand-embroidered or hand-painted
handkerchief.
- You can always buy her a bouquet, but if you are good at that
kind of a thing, gather fresh flowers and arrange them yourself
for her.
Just remember! The personal touch makes all the difference when
it comes to gifting something to your Mom!
