ROMANTIC IDEAS FOR VALENTINE'S DAY
Ideas for Spending 'Quality Time' with your Mate on Valentine's Day
If your mate thinks a great date is hanging out at the local
coffee shop, he may speak Quality Time fluently. This love language
requires a bit of planning. And a babysitter, if your kids are
young. Work out a trade with friends if you have to keep costs down,
but this is one love language that can be spoken for free.
- Run errands together.
- Go out to breakfast.
- Plan a day trip to a local recreation spot, like a lake. Take
a picnic lunch or dinner.
- Kidnap him from work lunch.
- Visit model homes, or open houses.
- Test drive a luxury car together.
- Move your television set into the back yard, set up lawn
chairs and watch TV under the stars.
- Or set up a big screen television or projection set in the
garage or driveway and have a drive-in movie at home.
- Lie on a blanket in the back yard and watch for falling stars.
- Have a restaurant or fast food progressive dinner (Egg rolls
from the Chinese take-out, nachos at the Mexican place, fries at
the burger barn, dessert at the ice-creamery.)
- Roast marshmallows on the BBQ grill in the back yard or in the
fireplace.
- Have a watermelon seed spitting contest. (I had jaw surgery
several years ago. It was months before I could spit a seed
farther than about 4 inches, leading to lots of hilarity.)
- Rent canoes, or kayaks, or paddle boats at the local lake.
- Excavate the house for spare change and go out for ice cream
cones.

Valentine's
Day No Bake Strawberry Bottom Cheesecake
Ingredients:
1 ready-made graham cracker pie crust (6 oz.)
4 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 oz. frozen non-dairy whipped topping (regular or fat-free)
1 pint fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
1 cup strawberry glaze
Directions:
Slice strawberries and place on paper towels to drain. Beat cream
cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in sugar. Blend in sour cream
and vanilla. Fold in whipped topping, blending well. Spread thin
layer of glaze over bottom of crust. Place strawberry slices on
glaze and cover with another thin layer of glaze. Gently spoon cream
cheese mixture over glazed strawberries on crust. Cover with
inverted dome and chill until set, at least 4 hours. Store leftover
pie in refrigerator.
Variation:
For a plain, no-bake cheesecake, omit strawberries and glaze,
double the amount of all other ingredients.

Tranquil Home-Spa for Valentine's Day
Avoid the hustle and bustle, by simply creating a lovely,
tranquil evening in paradise at home??¦
Make your own Massage Oil:
use any light oil you have, and warm it up a bit
add a drop of essential oil or fragrance oil
or if you don??™t have those on hand, use a couple drops of extract,
like almond or vanilla
Homemade Foot Scrub:
cleanse your feet with equal parts fresh lemon juice & water
have this homemade scrub recipe ready to use:
make a paste with a handful of very ripe strawberries, a bit of oil,
fresh lime or lemon juice, honey & salt
Massage into feet, rinse & repeat w/lemon juice & water mixture
Other ideas:
~Enjoy a simple, fresh & light candlelit dinner-you don??™t want to
spend all evening cooking in the kitchen-
~Play a romantic or relaxing CD
~A bouquet of fresh flowers is a nice touch and you can pick them up
in most grocery stores
~Enjoy strawberries dipped in melted milk chocolate or white
chocolate for an easy, yet decadent dessert
~Write each other love notes
~Present each other with your own coupons as gifts, pledging to do
things for each other that you normally wouldn??™t do
