Finding the Right Ezines to Advertise Your Website
- Targeting is most important. Find ezines that cater to your
target market.
- Check the number of subscribers/circulation. Place ads in
ezines with at least 500+ subscribers.
- Check the methods of payment acceptable to the editor.
- See the publication frequency. If you do not want to wait a
month before your ad appears, advertise in ezines published
weekly.
- How many ads does the ezine publish in one issue? Check this
beforehand. If there are too many ads, your ad might get lost in
the crowd and seen by very few people.
- Last but not the least, see the ad rates. Compare rates,
number of subscribers and number of ads in an issue of various
ezines and choose the best ones to advertise.

RECIPES
Diet Soup
Ingredients:
1 head cabbage, chopped
1 onion, chopped
3 large carrots, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped
3 tomatoes, chopped
1 (16 ounce) package frozen green beans
1 (2 ounce) package onion soup mix
6 cups water
Directions:
Combine water, soup mix, and vegetables in a large stock pot.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer until the vegetables are
tender.
Makes 8 servings
PARTY PLANNING
Garden Party for Kids
Warm summer weather is the perfect time to get the
kids outside for an outdoor party. Penny Warner has these ideas
for a Garden Party from her book, "Kids
Outdoor Parties (Children's Party Planning Books) "
(Meadowbrook Press). You might even get the kids to help you in
the garden!
Invitations:
-Buy seed packets and write party details in permanent felt-tip
pen on the back.
-Attach a card with party details to a bunch of artificial
flowers.
-Ask kids to dress in gardening clothes, or decorate their clothes
with leaves and flowers.
Decorations:
-Tie paper flowers around the yard.
-Hang posters of fruits and vegetables.
-Set out real or plastic fruits and vegetables.
Games:
-Buy unusual foods and flowers. Have guests guess the names by
look, smell or taste.
-Give each kid a garden glove and materials such as small pompoms,
wiggly eyes, felt, puffy paints, felt-tip pens, etc. Have kids
decorate the fingers to make Garden Glove Puppets.
-Give each guest a flat metal tray filled with a layer of potting
soil. Have the kids "write" their names in the soil with grass
seeds. Spray the dirt lightly with water and set the tray in
indirect sunlight. After the party, send the trays home with the
guests and in a few days, their names will start to grow.
-Have a variety of small vegetables and fruits on the table. Ask
kids to create a Veggie Monster by using toothpicks to attach the
different pieces of fruits and vegetables.
Refreshments:
-Frost a sheet or round cake with white icing and sprinkle on
green-tinted coconut. Top with edible or candy flowers.
-Put cut-up fruits and vegetables on a skewer stick.
-Have bowls of nuts and seeds.
-Decorate sandwiches with fruits and vegetables to make funny
faces.

-Small gardening kits, including gloves, a trowel, a sprayer,
seeds, etc.

HOMEMADE BEAUTY RECIPES
 Homemade
Lemon Chiffon Body Masque
(whole or partial body treatment )
Ingredients:
1.5 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 cup plain yogurt
1 tbsp honey
1 egg
2 tbsp aloe vera (fresh or gel)
2 sprigs mint
4-5 green (seedless) grapes
1 tbsp canola or sunflower oil
Directions:
Add all ingredients to blender and pulse just a few times, making
sure not to over mix. Apply to skin and leave on for 5-10 minutes,
rinse well with cool to lukewarm water. Your skin will be soft,
smooth and fresh. For an all over body treatment, you can easily
adjust/double this recipe.
