We're recommended in Time Out and guests include Time Out Readers' Top 10
comedian, Terry Saunders, plus Lewis Schaffer, who's part of the current Big
Joke Comedy Festival.

We'll also have Ewen Macintosh from "The Office" (and other big-deal endeavors
including the scary stories show in Edinburgh), Helen Arney (to tell us about
her audition to replace Carol Vorderman on "Countdown") and Storytellers' Club
founder, Sarah Bennetto.

They are fine comic performers under any circumstances, but this time out,
they'll be telling you true stories from their lives, so you'll gain new
insight into some of your favorite performers and find yourself laughing at the
truths they tell rather than the comedic tricks they play.

There'll be a bonus after the main show (if you feel like staying).

The talented Dutch musician and comedian Christiaan Oranje is workshopping his
entertaining new show in preparation for his upcoming runs in New York and
Edinburgh. You are cordially invited to attend this Sunday's preview at no
charge.

Simply say, "Dutch Treat" and you will be guided into the auditorium at no
cost, after which you are guaranteed to laugh heartily while you help the
artist move toward the final form of the show.

Show is at noon, this Sunday, the 10th of March, at The Green Room, 45 Bleecker
St. @ Lafayette.

Guests are welcome. (But they all must say "Dutch Treat".

My comedic storytelling show in London --

I've been concerned about my storytelling show on the 11th because I arranged
it too late to get it into any listings and also about the early shows in
general, so I've decided to offer a discount to e-mail list members and
selected others for the "Anthology" shows on Tuesday and Wednesday, the 11th
and 12th.

The discounted price will be ?3.50 on the 11th and ?5 on the 12th with the code
"I thought this was supposed to be ?____ (state appropriate ticket price
here)."

Storytellers on the 11th include Abi Roberts, Mackenzie Taylor, and Gareth
Berliner. The 12th features Martin White, Peter Buckley Hill and Chris Neill.

Coming on the 15th, we'll have Ray Peacock and Matt Crosby. And on the 21st,
Pappy's Fun Club, Earl Okin, and Terry Saunders

it's the diner where mary jane worked in spiderman 1, outside of which she gave

i'd walked past it for years and always admired it, but had never gone in;
maybe i didn't have money or i'd eaten somewhere else or i had an appointment

hello, folks.

wrote most of the comedic, weekend update-style "heavy news" for the heavy.com
(http://heavy.com) site for the last 3 weeks but now they seem to be in s state
of flux, format-wise -- the 3/30 stuff was still there last i looked and i
haven't had to write any since then. (sigh.)

and i got linked by gawker.com (http://gawker.com) again the other day (was it
the 4th or 5th time this year?) for the coca-cola post (http://
blogs.chortle.co.uk/andrewjlederer/2007/03/29/the_real_thing_gets_real). it was
the 1st time they aimed their celebrated "snark" at me, claiming i'd used too

The other day, when I was dancing in Brooklyn, I started with my big winter
coat on, a zip-up hoodie under that, and a backpack on my back. I'm not trying
to be an eccentric dancer -- "Chico and the Man"'s Jack Albertson can rest in
peace -- it's just that I ran into someone upon my arrival who wanted to dance.

And I liked the idea of summoning up a terpsichorean sinuousness while all
bundled up for winter travel. The girl I danced with liked it too. (Especially
'cause I was good.)
