With my Dad at the head
of the long table, we bowed our heads in
grateful thanks for our love of
God and His blessings, and of the bountiful
feast laid before us.
In
those days when I was a child, we were so blessed with the basic
requirements of food, health, and lodging. We may not have been dressed
to the hilt as would be the 'thing' in today's world but we had
sufficient clothing—clean, warm and suitable.
Too often, folks are
prone to judge a person by their material wealth, but I am here to tell
you that is not where happiness lies. In my viewpoint, love of friends,
family and GOD are where happiness is found. God directs us in telling
us that where our treasures are, there is our heart—and my heart and
love are with our God eternal.
As you gather together
this Thanksgiving day may you all find many reasons to be thankful for
the blessings that God our Father has blessed you with, as He did in the
past and will continue into the future.
"Cease not to give
thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
that the God of our
Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give
unto you the spirit of
wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him."
Ephesians 1:16-17

for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!"
