To What Depths Will Mankind Sink?

You can't pick up the
paper, turn on the television, or check out news on the Internet without
seeing the latest depths to which mankind has descended.
It seems like most
Americans sit back, unconcerned, watching mankind, while he descends into
the very gates of hell.
Of these things I ponder:
what has happened to mankind's moral fiber? What has sucked the very
essences of the goodness right out of him? Is there any decency left inside
of mortal man? Why could he not wait until the end of time for hell to
consume him? Why is he bringing early judgment upon himself?
If man wants to destroy
himself, I say let God be his judge, but let not man bring death to his
brother, or cruelty to strangers far beyond what man was ever meant to know.
Innocence is disappearing
in our schools as gunmen invade our nation's learning centers, taking
children as hostages and killing them, without thought of the consequences
to
families, society or even
to themselves.
Also Internet predators,
with their sick adult minds, have stalked, coerced and seduced our children
taking from them the very core of their purity.
Pregnant women are having
their stomachs cut open and their fetuses removed by those with sick envious
minds; how much lower can mankind sink?
Homes are being broken
into and children stolen from the safety of their private sanctuaries; is
there no harbor of safety?
Other children are being
abused at the hands of their parents, the very people who are suppose to
love and protect them.
Mothers are drowning their
babies, blood of their blood and flesh of their flesh; how can they be so
cruel?What has happened to the core of some mothers? Has their hearts and
souls simply disappeared?
Men and women alike,
without reservations, are taking up arms and using them to take the lives of
both family and strangers.
Even Police officers are
being gunned down. If those who carry guns to protect themselves and
civilians can't keep themselves safe, how are we without protection to do
so?
What happened to the
sanctity of life? How could hearts harden to the point of murder? How could
souls hate to such a degree?
Our lives might be in
danger, we fear, as we board planes; we take our chances when traveling.
Fear of what might occur passes through the hallways of our minds.
Even our young people have
joined the forces of evil and are resorting to malice and criminal
activities to indulge their pleasure of the forbidden.
Teenagers are murdering
their parents and grandparents, and parents are killing their children.
Brothers and sister often join forces, committing crimes of executions. What
has happened to the family circle?
There are those monsters,
who are not satisfied to only commit murder, but they are obsessed with
dismembering bodies; how sick can people become?
Television, movie writers
and producers, video games and authors promote violence in their greed to
make money.
In a culture where people
want what they want instantly, robberies abound; people take what they want
by means of ball bats, guns, bombs and arson.
Some police officers in
this nation who have sworn to protect us citizens have even sold their souls
to the devil by taking bribes, stealing and dealing in drugs; who can we
trust?
Darkness has become the
norm as it has settled over our nation. Guns, knifes and bombs, triggered by
anger, hatred, sin and wickedness are used to blacken our country.
Drug houses have popped up
turning respectable neighborhoods into rundown slums and crime districts.
Teachers, principles,
religious leaders are being arrested for sexual crimes done to their
students and those under their care.
Sexual predators are
living amongst us in our neighborhoods, watching our children. Check out the
Internet, see their names and their residence, you might be surprised how
close to you they live. Watch your children!
Aids are being used as
sexual weapons, a deadly tool, while obtaining selfish sexual gratification.
Schools and work-place
massacres have made headlines and become a fear of our society today. We
never know who will burst in and extinguish our lives. There abounds
uneasiness wherever we go.
Politicians often hide
behind power hoping to conceal their dishonesty and crimes; if we only knew
what their influence hides we would be flabbergasted, I am sure!
Men and women alike are
prostituting themselves. Then there are some men who desire to marry men,
and women are requesting marriage license to wed one another. What happened
to the natural order of creation?
Unwanted babies are being
destroyed because sex has become a causal selfish satisfaction. Sex was
given to us as a sacred gift to be used in a commented relationship; why is
it so hard for us humans to see that?
We human beings I believe
were meant to shed tough, rough selfish skins as we age and become better,
more decent, loving human beings. But it seems to me that many people have
also gone about shedding their souls.
There no longer seems to
be any boundaries, rules or accountability. Nothing seems to be sacred
anymore; Sodom and Gomorrah seemed no worse than what we have become.
Are we seeing the
beginning of the end, or will man wake up, turn himself around and pave the
way to a better life for those who are watching as they follow behind him?
When God gave mankind
freewill, I wonder if He knew to what depths man would sink.
