A young and
carefree lass agrees
To carry babe and heed world please.
The angel promised bliss for her
Despite the pain, she would incur.
Those days when all the worlds went wild
To character of mom's first child.
Not joined in bond of perfect link,
With dad who cares what people think.
‘Twas at a visit she now learns
Of Cuz Elizabeth’s concerns
Because her husband cannot speak.
Conception makes him seem too weak.
Soon the countryside would know
The prophet's message seed would grow.
Young Mary's offspring would save souls;
Elizabeth
helped Him with goals.
Maturity changed landscapes form
With wisdom's grace above the norm.
When justice moved from town to town
Some neighbors deemed them quite unsound.
As Mary's offsprings seasons ripe
His cousin's fame abates in hype.
He knows his time is drawing nigh;
He never balks or wonders why.
So quietly, He meets the day.
And quietly He kneels to pray.
For one of His betrays Him there
With silver-shekels, coins of snare.
From there she learns upon the tree
By son she bore in agony,
Redeemer, Savior, God, her son
Who comes to save, His job is done.
This young and carefree lass so young
Agreed to surrogate God's Son.
A life of bliss now falls apart,
Her pain like darts runs through her heart.
