Make a Ripple - Make a Difference

Greetings, Ripplemakers

Enjoying the Golden Years
by
Norma Liles

Gee, it's so great to snuggle back into bed, pulling the covers over me up to my neck and letting the world spin by! The sweet release of a busier time; today, I shall lose my self in the pleasure of the soft mattress which is a boon to these weary bones.?

The snow outside my bedroom window is for those hearty souls who must trudge to their place of employment, their children to school....I think you get the message. Granted, I love the picturesque scene unfolding before my eyes but I will stay put for now, thank you!

Oh, yes, I had almost forgotten, my daughter is coming by to take me to the ear fellow; the one who fit me with these darn hearing aids (a nuisance, I say). He needs to do some adjusting on the volume? Mercy sakes, what next?

Yes, dear, I did make that appointment with my eye care professional for? my followup check on my glaucoma. Heck, everything always is the same old same old, but I guess I'd better go along with it?

You know, Sarah (my best friend), I think we should go on that tour that the seniors are having. I believe they are going as far as Canada....yes ma'am; Montreal, I believe they said. Remember when we took that trip to the Smokies. I really loved that with all the beautiful scenery, didn't you? That is a very busy place for us these days?

Oh gollee sakes, now I remember, I have to hangup this phone, ? get out of this danged bed, fixup a casserole for the monthly meeting of the seniors at at the clubhouse..no rest for the weary, and the righteous don't need none, I say!

What's that??  You ask what's for dinner or supper as I refer to it??  Gee, do I have to come up with an answer right away? Let's see. How about a hot cup of vegetable soup, a grilled cheese sandwich and my all time favorite, a cup of hot constant comment tea. Maybe a cookie on the side?

One thing I will not forget is to have my quiet time with the Lord. He keeps me singing His praises through the written word; The Holy Bible as I thank Him for His daily blessings:
