Good Morning, Ripplemakers

The Riddle Tree (A Bit of Nunsense)
By
P. S. GIfford

Fiddly piddly widdly we.
Pluck some words from the riddle tree.
Then stand on your head and read them to me.
Fiddly piddly widdly be.

The cookie cried, wiped a crumb from her eye.
Dearest dear me she started to cry.
Oh how long came her moaning song.
That she had not been a wafer so long.

Fiddly piddly widdly we.
Pluck some more words from the riddle tree.
Then wiggle your ears and read them to me.
Fiddly piddly widdly be.

There once was a creature Leo the cat.
Who fell off a house and should have gone splat.
Then a truck rolled over him - he was flat.
But he’s got nine life’s now, fancy that.

Fiddly piddly widdly we.
Pluck some more words from the riddle tree.
Then bark like a dog and read them to me.
Fiddly piddly widdly be.

Paul looked in the mirror he felt like an ass.
As he sat there and studied that looking glass.
“Oh let me be Like Alice and please let me pass.”
But as he tried to pass it just broke with a crash.

Fiddly piddly widdly we.
Write your own words from the riddle tree.
Then dance like a chicken and read them to me.
Fiddly piddly widdly be.

My dad he is a chap who’s so wise.
You can tell with just one look in his eyes.
As wise, so wise as wise can be.
He is so much wiser than you and me.

Fiddly piddly widdly we.
Write your own words from the riddle tree.
Then scribble them down and send them to me.
Fiddly piddly widdly be.
