For those of you who are using Windows
XP, have installed SP2, and who use Outlook Express, here is
some important information for you.
With the release of the new Microsoft
XP Service Pak 2 (SP2) you can face some problems with the
HTML issues because Outlook Express under Windows XP SP2
will now block images automatically in your messages if your
email address is not in the subscriber address book. The
formatting may become odd. Also.
According to Microsoft's Knowledge
Base, they have an article on this topic and a solution to
turn off the new default:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=843018
Here are instructions for turning off
this default feature:
- Click Start, point to Programs, and
then click Outlook Express.
2. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the
Security tab.
3. Click to clear the Block images and other external
content in HTML e-mail check box.
4. Click Apply, and then click OK.
Read the full story in the
Ezine-Tips issue.

Personal request: If you joined
Starfish, Sand Dollar and/or Driftwood by subscribing
through the Zinester.com web site, I would REALLY appreciate
it if you would drop me a note with your name, country and
state of your residence (city is helpful, but optional). It
would also be helpful to know how you heard about us. I am
often asked how many subscribers we have from the state of
xyz or how many subscribers in xyz country. Sometimes, I
want to drop a note to folks in Australia for example. If I
have the requested information, it makes these questions
easier to answer.
Others will want to know how many
countries around the world are receiving Starfish (or Sand
Dollar or Driftwood). So I try to track the locations that
our messages reach.
I would really appreciate it if you
would drop me a note with this info. You have my solemn
promise that the information is shared with no one and
remains strictly confidential and for my own personal use
only.
Thanks so much
